Pablo wins in 4.

That's the more shocking; esp. that he took care of business in 4 sets! Everyone in anticipation of another RBA war with Nole down the line! Oh well, they'll have to wait for another occasion! Khachanov just wrapped up his match in 4 as well! My Safin wannabee has been just as impressive as any with these cold, damp conditions!

Novak clinical, like the other favourites.
2nd week will be very interesting, with first real tests!

Silent K usually plays good tennis in RG. Seems that he likes it here. Glad for him.

Rublev has been on fire winning Hamburg title and now in the 4th round RG, for a 9-match winning streak this guy is so good these days and should at least make the semi finals.
That match with Medvedev at the USO, I'm hoping he took away that he was very close there.

What I notice is that he's developed more patience, before with Rublev it was all power, power and more power. Roland Garos this year seems to suit him, since he can also play defense a little easier with the heavier conditions.

Agree. I am looking forward to Rublev Tsitsipas clash again. Hamburg final was highly entertaining. Next round they have good quality opponents, Mr. Fucs and Mr. Grigor. They should be able to pass them although it does not look like an easy task.

I give Grigor more chances to put Sissyfuzz away than Marton beating Andrej.

Moxie if you are around I was wondering have you heard from Herios? he was a good poster and a 'well measured Novak fan'.
I have not, but I don't PM with him. Maybe the Admins have.

Thiem looks injured. Sinner might beat him to reach the semi.

I starting to think Thiem has made a new big 4 with Nadal Djokovic Federer, still needs at least one major win to clear himself from players like cillic del potro, which he will do in the next two seasons.

The young Austrian Sinner playing very good and smart tactic against giraffe. Will be hard match for fake German.
Easy next match for Bob.

Just heard Giraffe has a cold, could be reason why he is playing so passive, slow and error prone.

Very low level from both German, very windy right now.
Result meaningless , both will be eaten alive by human wall in next round.
