Sad to say Tsurneko has to retire in this match had big breathing issues
Sad she was playing her best at this tournament this year
Iga won by retirement 5-1

Apparently Tsurenko had started to feel ill yesterday, was like a virus, similar to what Rybakina had, then had to withdraw from the tournament

QFs matches June 6th,

Day session for both the women's QFs,

K. Muchova vs A. Pavlyuchenkova H2H Pavs 2-1 ( remember Pavs has come back to the tour) though she has been a finalist at RG
Last time they played Muchova won at Wimby in SS in 2021 3rd.

Muchova has a early break in the 1st set against Pavs, Muchova is a complete all court player and finishes with a great cross court volley at the net and leads 3-1
This service game of Pavs has gone past 10 mins, a must have hold for Pavs she dosent want to go down a double break
Pavs holds saves 5 BPs
Muchova leads 3-2
BP for Pavs great bh return and she breaks with a clean BH winner
On serve now 3 all,
Pavs has turned this match around and leads 4-3 1st set
Lovely slice bh from Muchova 4 all 1st set
This has been a enjoyable match to watch from both players
BP for Muchova cross court BH
Muchova breaks and will serve for the 1st set 5-4
Pavs has 3 BPs with a clean fhand winner, Pavs is such a clean striker of the ball a pleasure to watch
Pavs breaks and back on serve 5 games all
Runnng fh down the line and Muchova wins the 1st set 7-5
Muckova with 2 BPs, Pavs with a DF
Muchova will try and serve for the match for a 2nd time 6-5
Muchova with a running fhand down the line wins the 1st set 75

Both ladies have taken a toilet break after the 1st set... Muchova wins the 1st set 75
Muchova breaks Pavs in her opening service game
Love Muchova tennis IQ she has the ability to direct her shots where she wants on the tennis court and also anticipates her opponents shots on the court
Muchova consolidates the break
Muchova leads 2-0 2nd set
Muchova 3-1 2nd set
Muchova with 2 BPs and she breaks Pavs for the 5th time in the match,Pavs legs looks heavy to me, not moving well, she has been playing some long 3 set matches, maybe catching up with her.
Muchova leading 4-1
Muchova with a love service game she is just one game away from the SF
Muchova 5-1
Muchova will serve for the match and a place in the SF leading 5-2

Muchova serving for the match 5-2 and a place in the SF, which would be her first RG SF
Lovely fhand winner from Muchova right on the line
Pavs with a BP,, saves from Muchova with a good put away volley
MP for Muchova
Muchova d Pavlyuchenkova 75 62 to reach her first SF at RG and will play either Sabalenka or Svitilona in the SF
Love watching Muchova with her all court game
Bad luck Pavs, thought your legs looked heavy, not moving well, at the end of the 1st set, though you will rise 200 points when the new rankings come out

If anyone's French Open final run was a fluke, it's Pavlyuchenkova's run to the finals in 2021, not Coco Gauff's last year. Coco is tied for most wins at the French Open since 2021, and the only one to make the quarterfinals in all 3 French Opens. Coco would have beat Pavlyuchenkova in the 2021 French Open.

Your bias for Coco is really laughable lol! I suppose Iga Swiatek's win over Coco last year at RG was also a Fluke :)

Nice comments from Karolina Muchova, as I have always said she is a Top 10 player and it is only injuries that has kept her out of the tour from some long periods of time
Well deserve SF win and it was No Fluke at all

2nd ladies QF has just begun Sabalenka vs Svitolina, Elina has won their only previous meeting on clay in Strasburg
Nice stat for Elina her world ranking 1034, 2 weeks later ranking of 508, won in Strasburg, she will be in the Top 75 when the new rankings come out, though she might go further depending if she can win against Saba today
There will be no handshake between these 2 today. at the completion of this match
