Agree with my commies Gauff needs to get help on that fhand of hers, though it really cant be done while on tour needs to get help in a training block or in the off season as I have been saying all along it is technically flawed and she should be getting rid of the western grip on her fhand, one of the reasons why is commits errors off it

Gauff was handed that break from Schmiedlova with a couple of double faults
This match is poor from both players,

A better service game from Gauff to love leads 4-2 2nd set
Both ladies have to adjust their games with this wind especially when they are serving

It wasn't anything spectacular, but Coco did what she needed to do. 3rd straight year in the French Open quarters.

Coco is such a sweetheart, and any parent would be proud of her.She has defended half of her finalist points.

On that performance sad to say she wont be getting further than a QF spot, she will either play Iga who holds a 6-0 against her , or Tsurenko

These Eurosport pundits have no shame especially Evert, one would think Coco lost the match. The critique was unnecessary and disgusting, and what else is new about Chrissy.Shame on you Nonna Evert.

I really hope that Iga wins today, and Coco beats Iga on Wednesday, so no one can use the excuse that Coco only got this far the last 2 years because she didn't play anyone in the Top 30. It's not Coco's fault that those top ranked players couldn't take care of their own business. Coco can only play who is in front of her. Besides, didn't Coco beat (Australian Open finalist) Jennifer Brady and Ons Jabeur in 2021? I really wish Coco had won that French Open so there would be no criticism.

Please Coco wont be beating Iga, regardless of this performance today, she has too many weapons and is the top clay courter in the womens game

It isnt the end of the world at all, she played a better match yesterday, so I hope she clears up the UFE and serve for her QF match
She won today and before thats what matters.Margaret you are now sounding like a broken record. We know Coco is not your favorite player and your critique is a bit too much.We know she has to work on her game and eventually she will get there because she has amazing drive.

I keep telling everyone the Mirra match was a turning point. It's like the Clijsters match for Serena at the 1999 US Open. Sometimes the threat of having your status as the next big star of the game threatened is the best motivator. After that Clijsters match, no one would have Serena was going to beat Seles, Davenport, and Hingis to win the title. The biggest difference with Coco in this French Open and 2021/2022 is her ability to overcome adversity. 3 matches in 4 days will tell, but this feels like Coco's time.

Serena had the strongest will power in women tennis. She endured a lot from racism, bodyshaming, professional jealousy ,bad umpiring ,suspect calls and etc.Kim was the golden child and was supposed to be the winner not Serena.Coco will get there eventually, and remember Vee had a weak fh and was always injured on it and eventually she strengthened it.

Watching the match between Iga and Tsurenko
Iga makes it soo hard to win points for other players her defense is just outstanding she leads 4-0
