Alcaraz will serve for the match again at 6-5
Alcaraz wins 60 62 75, a little blip when first serving for the match, though Cobilli played the game of his life to break the serve of Alcaraz

Sucks for the person who picked Fils to win the FO, but Fils was a bit overhyped, while Fokina was severely underrated. Fokina will beat Djokovic and make a deep run at the FO.
Huh? Did someone actually pick Fils to win the FO?

Anyhow, I don't see him as over hyped, though I don't watch the tennis channel so don't know what they're saying. But he's definitely a talented young player with a lot of potential, and there are inklings of him starting to make a move. I see him as at least a future 2nd tier type. Hard to predict beyond that until we see him reach peak form.

His main problem is that he's French.

Why there you have it why your guy Felix AA can’t push through, he’s FRENCH Canadian, just a variety of the Gallic Genus. ; )

Fils reached a career high when he won the tournament the other day he is now ranked No 63 not bad for the youngster
Also the youngest French ATP champion since Gael Monfils who won a tournament back in 2005

Sinner Forza! 1st set 61 over Muller
He is playing well and probably likes his chances in a part of the draw without Alcaraz and Djokovic. He lost against Rafa I think 2 times in RG, so he doesn't need to worry about that either this year.

Well I expect him to win this match he is now up 4-0 in the 3rd set, he has been having physical problems of late, that is why at RG I dont think he will go deep, though he could surprise me lol!

Speaking of young French studs, Van Assche tore Cecchinato a new one. 6-1, 6-1, 6-3.
I did see him lurking there, but I figured he was too young too go through. Good for him! Allez les Bleus!

The French deserve the razzing that they get, but I do think Fils could be a bit of the real deal. He doesn't play like a Frenchman, if you know what I mean? Pretty willing to be aggressive, from what I've seen.

On top of that, he's Canadian...too nice. Gonna be hard to unearth a killer instinct from under all of that French ennui and Canadian cordiality. :lol6:

Haha, yep.

But yeah, I have a good feeling about Fils.

Have you seen Van Assche play? I haven't, but am curious what sort of game he has and if he should be considered in the same category as Fils.
