BTW for Stef fans I know we have one in AP,

I am being serious here,

In the off season Stef needs to go to a academy in Spain, JFC has one
He needs to still understand the demensions of a clay court, regardless being under pressure
Being brought up on clay, that is one of the first things you are taught
Also his bhand slice still stinks, it is too high and floaty, also his bhand still needs help
Quite frankly both those shots still need attention, we all saw what Novak did to Stef in the AO final
Those 2 shots have Not Improved
He can take Papa with him to the training academy, maybe Papa Stef will learn a thing or two.

He lost in the last 2 French Opens to Rune (age 19) and now Alcaraz (age 20). Overall Stefano is 0-7 head2head (Alcaraz 5-0, Rune 2-0) losing to the youngsters on both HC & red clay.

In 2 months Stefano turns 25, the kids are going to improve so he better do something fast…
He has a good game with excellent strokes..I really don't know how to fix his game

He has good potential I hope he can reach it, a different coach would also help, though at this stage it looks like Daddy will stay
Interesting, your list of fixes. He does have a pretty game, and a pretty face, and I find him just too soft. To belabor the Greek myth thing, he's Narcissus, who dies from being in love with his own reflection. He's believing too much in his own myth, (I'm an artist!) And his daddy bolsters him in this. Someone needs to remind him it's sport, not art. It's war, not a beauty contest. I agree that there is potential, but he needs someone who will slap him across the face and kick his ass, not kiss it, and it ain't his daddy.

Everyone always talks about his BH, beyond that…

Stefano is a “pretty” player with flashy shots.
Technically his receving game against the top players leaves alot to be desired, its alnost like he concedes so many points with mishits and sloppy attempts.

When Rafa burst out, his serve & BH were “relative” weaknesses and his netgame was still gestating. Endless drills & tireless practice improved both tenfold. Rafa’s BH became a weapon to be respected. Someone as naturally gifted as Stefano, is he willing to put in the hours for specific drills to address the subpar aspects of his game?

Agree, it is up to Stef to get a new coach, he is a good greek boy just goes along with his fathers wishes at present, he is the typical 'tennis parent; to me? how many times have we seen that over the years. He dosent have that killer instinct, he needs to get one, especially in tough tight matches, mentally plays a big part of our game

I agree with this 100%. Has he ever done work with Agassi? I think he'd kick his ass in the way you are describing....Might be an interesting match as Andre would also appreciate his artistry....

Tsitsipas first answer in press, from tennis journalist, Jose Morgado, from Portugal who I follow

Says,
"Alcaraz was great, not exceptional" and that he will stop having naps before matches because that's not working".
Djokovic got the experience and prefers the control and precision"
Alcaraz, " the legs.He moves like Speedy Gonzalez and hits unbelievable shots".
Tsitsipas asked about who is winning the semi final?
" I root for the young kids".

That's an interesting thought. Agassi tried to work with Novak, but they couldn't see eye-to-eye. Agassi had Gil Reyes who kicked his butt, right? Someone who appreciates the artistry, as you say, and knows about the hard yards. Hmmm....

If he can't cop to the fact that either/and a) he played poorly, b) Alcaraz played great, then he is bordering on delusional. (Both of those things are true, btw.) If he's trying to pull the "Alcaraz was nothing special, and I had a bad day," he's a bigger jerk than I thought he was. And worse than that, if he doesn't figure out Carlitos soon, he's looking at a 19-0 or something like that, lifetime. Federer v. Roddick numbers. Arrogance will not get him there.

Sad that Stef had to take the low road and express his thoughts the way he did, Stef was completely out classed I mean their H2H going into this match was 4-0, of course that stat would be in any players mind, Stef had to cover up that fact he was sent to the wool shed, he needs to take his blinkers off and accept what happened and try to work harder and shut his mouth, before he looks more foolish than he did in his press conference today.

Mañana:

Zverev v. Etcheverry: End of the road for the Argentine?
Ruud v. Rune: Nordic battle, 4-1 H2H in favor of Ruud, but Rune won their most recent in the Rome SF this year; popcorn match!

Picks?

Problem with Stef is that he is okay with losing, he will never be champion with that sort of mentality. He is a sour loser, Alcaraz was outstanding yesterday.
