Now this can be funny! The true "hatahs" out there kvetchin' about the draw and undermining Novak's ability just makes me SMH! It's pathetic! :exploding-head:
Actually, there are haters out there neither complaining about his draw, nor undermining his tennis chops. There are those comparing him to a White Walker, some who call him a sand-bagger bar none. Others who wonder about his various and sundry voodoo potions, patches and puff bottles. Don't put us all in one category, and, hey, why limit the scope? :lulz1:

A real bummer than Alcaraz and Musetti have to face this early on. Musetti won their only previous ATP tour meeting and I'm torn between who I want to win, however I feel that Alcaraz is a safer bet to take out Djokovic in a possible SF so I guess I'll be rooting for him. :good:

It's crazy that Alcaraz has to go through Shapovalov, Musetti and possibly Tsitsipas before the SF, while Djokovic has nobodies.
Unlike you, who have declared to be "anyone but Djokovic," I actively support Alcaraz, and he became my top choice when Rafa bowed out.

While I do like Musetti, I agree with Margaret that he's green at this altitude.

You will continue to complain about the draw, and no one can stop you, but Novak avoided 19 seed and a 13 seed in RBA and Hurkacz, because they lost. That's not his fault, it's theirs. Shapo was the #26 seed, and Carlos beat him much more easily than Davidovich Fokina (#29) went down today against Novak.

Ever since the draw came out, I told you that Bautista and Hurkacz will not make it to Djokovic and that they are the easiest possible draw on Clay… You however kept insisting that he has a difficult draw and are still using that argument because they have a ”seeding”.:yawningface:

Also, I never said “Anyone but Djokovic” I said “Anyone but Pushovic” so please get your facts straight, thanks. :good:

You never said that they wouldn't make it to Novak, but just that it was an easy draw. And I never made the seeding argument before, because I normally can't be bothered with that.

Look, I honestly thought there were some potential complications in the draw for Djokovic, particularly as he seemed undercooked coming into the tournament, and, true or not, he's still complaining about injury. Foki actually gave him a tough match, even if it was a straights-setter.

I just don't know what it serves to whine about the draw. It always feels like a set-up for denigrating a player's win, should it come.

If you're looking for someone to blame for Alcaraz's difficult draw, Djokovic's rather easy draw, and the absolute joke that is the bottom half of the draw, blame Holger for losing that match to Medvedev in Rome. If Holger wins that match, Djokovic is #2 and the draw is much more balanced.

Then again, Alcaraz got a very tough draw at last year's US Open, and still rolled Ruud in the final.

My feeling is that Alcaraz - Djokovic match just has to happen. It is still early to book it, but if it doesn't come to it tennis fans will be seriously deprived of the potential thrilling match to watch.

Bottom part of the draw lost a lot already with Meddy and Sinner out.

Fritz consolidates the break against Cerundolo leads 4-1, looking good so far, serve and fhand working well

Saved one found his 1st serve, another 1st serve saved 2 BPs
Back to deuce Cerundolo had chances there to break, poor returning

I like both of these players, but the horrible crowd fully makes me want to see Fritz shove it up their noses. He could have done better after he match v. Rinderknech, but they were already beyond rude. Cerundolo breaks back.
