I know, people did the same thing to Steffi when she was injured in 1997/1998. Then, she went on one final run to end her career, winning the French Open and making the Wimbledon final in 1999. I have the feeling Rafa is going to have a similar run next year, most likely at the French Open and Olympics.

I've always wondered about the mentality of athletes that truly believe if insulted, it inspires them! You see it other sports, being quite cautious how they speak of an opponent that's down! "Oh, he's one of the greatest and we have to be careful until the clock runs out!" You're not allowed to say "I'm gonna squash them like bugs at a BBQ!" If anyone truly is that weak, I feel sorry for them! In the NBA playoffs, the Celtics were down and out 3 games to 0! Somehow they won 3 in a row after Magic Johnson said "they quit in game 3!" Really? That's what gets an athlete to do what they're paid Millions to do? Luckily The Heat closed them out in game 7 or we'd never hear the end of their great comeback!

You’re describing Rafa, brother, the best of the Big 3 and possibly the best since McEnroe at raising their game when they’re pissed off, either by an umpire or opponent!

I’ve read here ( Dont shoot me i cant remember which posters LOL) that Sinner needs to beef up or step it up physically but I dunno, body types are body types ( classic example: Williams sisters) .

Daniil & Medevev are older than Sinner & still relatively lanky and thin. Sinner will never be beefy like, say, Wawrinka or Tiafoe and those Karatsev calves are mostly genetic I suspect. ; )

As to his conditioning, that doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with bulking up.
