Without Federer's and Nadal's grace . We are reduced to a bunch of whinny tennis players especially Novak's whinny AZZ. I wished I was in his box, I wouldn't last long because I would tell him "WTF you bitchin at me, go fight the Bear of your opponent "

Never saw Sampras carry on like this
Sampras was a full grown ass MAN and carried it on the court, as opposed to the man childs today. CANNOT imagine Pete berating his team publicly or instructing his mom to give him coaching in another language.

I'm sure they're paid very well to endure the abuse! Who are you kidding? If the money's good, you might give up a "first born!" :face-with-tears-of-joy: :fearful-face::yawningface::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

That's why tennis struggled a bit when Sampras ruled! He was boring AF & didn't exactly thrill the masses except in matches vs Agassi! :face-with-hand-over-mouth::yawningface:

Gael Monfils has withdrawn from his match tomorrow against Holger Rune citing a wrist problem, his doctor told him it was not safe to play, Rune gets a walkover to the next round.
Zverev vs Molcan will now be the night session on Chatrier
Cerundolo v Hanfmann moved to 4th on Simone Mathieu

The Kosova Tennis Federation has asked the IOC to fine Novak Djokovic for his comments on Serbia and Kosovo. The FFT said that they do not control what players write on the cameras so Novak did not break any rules. The French Sports Minister, however, said Novak's comments were 'inappropriate'

Gael Monfils has had wrist issues before, I think. He's had a lot of physical issues, of late. He is the same age as Rafa and Gasquet and I think they played juniors together. If the match yesterday was essentially Gael's swan song, he should be happy with it. I don't see him topping that.

I think both Gasquet and Gael will retire next year maybe after the Paris Olympics. Gael did say after coming back from his foot injury, when he was off the tour for sometime, any more serious injuries he will call it a day, I dont blame him

Dejah vuh, yet again what happens to the hopes and dreams of those wanting Novak to be upset in the early rounds of a Slam….

Personally, I thought that Fucsovic would get a set, and he nearly did get the first. He missed a lot of opportunities there. But, hey, we're not out of the early rounds yet! :lol6:

That’s a pity for Monfils, great effort to get through. I’m not sure a w/o ever really benefits the player who got it, apart from the obvious fact of going a round further. I think it disrupts a players rhythm in a long tournament, not having the match. Nothing can be done about it, of course, and Monfils is more to be pitied about it..

I don't understand why people are surprised Monfils WD!?! He pulls this $#!t all the time! He'll kill himself to win a match, then bows out because he's broken down! I've never been a fan of his for that reason! Baez deserved better even if he choked away the match yesterday! It's truly disrespectful to wimp out to Holger who he knew would kick his arse! Is that HARSH? Tough! Monfil's a king-size jerk! :astonished-face: :thinking-face::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:
