Madison Keys (22) vs Veronika Kudermetova.......first meeting.
Veronika was leading 6-3 2-1 when the No 3 seed Paula Badosa retired with a right knee injury.
Madison played an impressive super t/breaker over the No 16 seed Rybakina to win in 3 sets.

No 1 player Iga Swiatek is on a 31 match winning streak? can she keep this up againt Zheng Qinwen,it is only Zheng's sixth appearance at a main draw at Grand Slam level.

Jessica Pegula (11) vs Irina-Camelia Bega H2H Begu leads 2-0.....latest on HC 250 tournament Melbourne 2022.
Jess has really improved on the clay,I believe being a finalist in Madrid has added new confidence on the clay,also defeating Zidansek, a s/finalist at RG last year in straight sets in her last match.
Begu defeated French WC Jeanjean 61 64 in her previous match, equaling her best GS results, AO 2015 and RG 2016.

Daria Kasatkina (20) vs Camila Girogi (28)

Daria has been under the radar in her first 3 matches, dropping the fewest games (10).Camila upset 7th seed Sabalanka, 46 61 60, breaking her serve the last six times.Camila's form coming into RG has to say the least poor.
Daria won their only meeting 2 years ago in Lyon QFs in 3 sets.

Well the only pick I got wrong was the match between Keys v Kudermetova, Veronika won in 3 sets 16 63 61

Iga has lost the 1st set of the tournament to Zheng in a t/break 76(5) though currently in the 2nd set she is leading 3-0
