Jelena still made Cornet work for it! There was a lot of stretch'n & groping for balls! I hope it wasn't for naught seeing as she was bending over late!
If and when Ostapenko can play with 'controlled aggression' she might find herself in the winners circle, she is her own worst enemy

Just a thought seeing Halep was eliminated from RG today.I wonder if the partnership of Simona and Patrick M will cease?
Patrick M was coaching Halep for the clay season. If we can believe what he said.Let us see if Serena will appear at Wimbledon this year and will Patrick be by her side.

You think there's tension or a change of heart? I barely watched it, but the sport shows spoke on her saying she was "having an anxiety attack!" It's been something happening so she can't breathe! What's that all about? :shushing-face: :astonished-face::yawningface::fearful-face:

What I have read it was a 'panic attack' could not breathe, it has also happened to me, out of the blue.Halep was playing well, then it happened.,panic attacks can happen at anytime to anyone.Patrick M has come out and blamed himself for Halep's poor performance?
That maybe Patrick M shooting off his mouth again:) let us see if Patrick M continues to coach Halep?

Panic attacks are similar to the serving yips. They both manifest themselves differently but are usually related to the player's mental health, fear, depression, anxiety, expectation etc.

Interesting match ups for Friday 27th May,

Anisimova v Muchova.....this is their first meeting.
Two different styles of play, Anisimova has very hard and flat strokes, who likes to play first strike tennis and control the points
Muchova has a great variety of shots in her game, using spin, can also change the speed of her shots.Muchova has had a lot of injuries thus far in her career and time off the tour, I really like her game and I would not be surprised if she won this match up.

Kanepi v Gauff.
At 36 years young also nick named the Giant Killer, most players like to avoid Kanepi, especially in their early matches.Coco the youngest player left in the tournament has played Kanepi once before on clay last year at Parma, which she won in 2 close t/breaks.
I feel as long as Coco can keep her serve percentage intact, especially her 2nd serve, she has the speed on court to upset Kanepi.

B.Bencic v L.Fernandez.........Bencic to win for me
Azarenka v Teichmann..........Teichmann to win for me
S.Stephens v D. Parry.............Parry has the game to upset Sloane, though I will go with Sloane.she better not disappoint me :)

Great match has come to an end with Fernandez as the winner - nearly 3 hours of drama has found a winner - great ladies.

I'm not a clinical expert, just studied it in the past after I had one. At that time in your life maybe there was an underlying stressor. I'm glad you only had the one and it didn't become a recurring issue.

Lil Bit fully deserves her place in the R16. She was positive and had a lot of energy. Classic Belinda got really negative and the youngster just fed off of her negativity and fought for every point.

In 3h 18m Jill Teichmann defeats Azarenka -One complaint - how can they give Jill a medical timeout like she had - it was quite obviously to disturb Vikas play - should not be allowed.

I'd have more sympathy for Vika if she hadn't done the same thing years ago at the AO when she was losing a match! Some call it Karma! :face-with-hand-over-mouth: ;)

Well done to Leylah....I picked Bencic after she dismissed Andreescu with ease in her previous match

Bad luck to Muchova coming back again from injury and sprained her ankle in her match against Anisimova and retired in the 3rd set.

Iga Swiatek survives a hard hitting Danka Kovinic - it helped with the extra blouse - well 31st victory in a row. Well played Danka. Iga to watch a soccer match today
