Darth..that's what i stated , a rejuvenated and informed Novak is what you want.
An in-form Djokovic means trouble for Roger at Wimbledon, but I hope he starts playing excellent tennis at RG this year. :)

Personally, I think Thiem v Zverev will be a fight. Both are playing for position as guys who are supposed to take the next step. I think Zverev is the more talented. Thiem the sturdier, and rather more rested. And better clay courter. Zverev will be looking to get it done quickly, with his big serve. If he can keep Dominic on his back foot for the first couple of sets, he might do it. If it goes 5, Thiem.

Folks seem to forget that Thiem is a two time semifinalist at RG and that too in the last two years. I don't see much of a chance for Sasha and the three five setters can only be putting him at a disadvantage now.

I don't forget that. I still say he's the more talented of the two. And he is ambitious and hard-headed. I'm not saying he'll win, but I do think he'll put up a fight.

Oh well, second week promises to be little more interesting than last year.

Let's be honest, even the first week was more compelling than last year. Don't feel bad that you were trying to say it was boring. Everyone was expecting it to be. Turns out we were all mostly wrong. I'll be hoping for the same "boring" result, but it won't mean that the tournament hasn't elicited some fascinating stories.

Little Diego manages to hold serve for the first time halfway the second set. Kevin A on his way to the Nadal slaughterhouse.

Wow, I figured the shorty would take that match. How do you lose this badly to KA on clay?

I also expected Schwartzman to come through but I saw KA play on clay this season and he is not so out of sorts as it may seem.

Wow, Shorty rallied from 5-3 down in 3rd? I stopped paying attention to the score

Unfortunately Marterer is going to detonate a little early today and the only victim will be him. There will be many more in the future that are Martyred by him though.

A little annoyed to be honest. I prefer Rafa to have a fresh opponent. This now looks like a 5-setter which will likely make the path to the semis even cosier than it already is.

Not watching this one, but looks like Anderson might get this done in 4.

It's not going to matter. This guy isn't losing at RG again any time soon. I still worry Roger's awful results in his early 30's may come back to bite him. One things for sure, he will need to win a couple more. Hard to picture Rafa not ending with at least 13-14 RG's

Folks, is there any chance KA can pull off a Soderling?
