Name one player, name one incident that they said they lost ..this is why I said you are being a bit of a nag..

4-5 seconds doesn't matter or determines the outcome of a match
You
It most certainly does affect the outcome. If someone ruins your focus deliberately and you make more errors, you'll more than likely lose a lot of the time. That's not sporting and it's not good umpiring to allow it happen. These players will keep doing this till they're stopped and currently no one is stopping them bar one or two umpires giving them a measly warning or point violation once in a blue moon. Pretty sure you're all too aware a few key points can win a match so these players using stalling as an unfair advantage most certainly do determine the outcome of a match.
front ..a server Does Not try to ice a returner..it doesn't work like that..all the pressure is on the server to get the serve in to a spot in the service box to try to keep control of the point from a weaken service return.

"According to the stats shown by the broadcasters on the TV screens, the Spaniard was taking an average 31 seconds between points." <---31 f*****g seconds. Tell me that's fair and doesn't annoy the opponent.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/te...l-Nadal-makes-a-mockery-of-the-rule-book.html

"We heard Dimitry Tursunov say it during a match last year: it’s one rule for Rafa and one for everyone else.”"

http://www.tennisworldusa.org/news/...ok-too-long-between-points-in-the-last-game-/

"Obviously towards the end, he got the time violation for taking too long in that last game. You guys were watching. And, yeah, you can draw your own conclusions from it. I don't know how much of a bearing any of that had on the outcome, but that stuff always happens during matches. You know, it doesn't always influence the outcome, but when you're losing at the end, it's easy to get frustrated at things. That was it'. Nadal took around 30 seconds on average between points."

I could go on but it's pretty obvious it's annoying players a lot and not just the fans as you foolishly stated yesterday.

No.. he clearly states that it doesn't influence the outcome..I never said it was annoying to some players ..does it changes the final score no..You are the one who is being foolish if you think someone is getting ready to serve and says..I am gonna wait 4-5 extra seconds so my opponents will be so agitated they will loose focus on their return of serve.

He clearly did not state that. You're changing what he said to suit yourself. He said I don't know how much of a bearing any of that had on the outcome. That is not what you are claiming. He's being politically correct about it but clearly it p1ssed him off so it did affect the outcome and I dunno where you get 4-5 seconds over out of average 30-31 seconds. That's average so he was over that a lot of the time which is beyond a joke.

FRONT , nobody tries to ice a returned. You are carrying on very much like a nag and its just a whine..you are looking for some type of admitted gamesmanship from a server..the rule has always been you play at the servers pace. The past ten years, the time interval rule has been included and if its exceeded the server is penalized..thats it .move on from it

Except they don't penalize him or other offenders 99% of the time. That's the problem. I'm not being a bit of a nag btw. I've posted links showing how much Nadal is over on average and a clip of Tursunov complaining about time violations and referencing Nadal as the worst offender. I posted these in reply to your claim it doesn't annoy players when clearly it does as you can see. You can't accept it and try to defend his every action even when clearly wrong like other Nadal fans do so that makes me a nag. Good logic.

It is not that simple. Data has already shown that some players take, on average, even seven or eight seconds more than others. On average. It means that on specific (chosen) moments they might take much more than that. It is way more important than the phrase "four or five seconds" indicates.

And a lot of players openly complained about it, so it obviously bothers them. Just because no one specifically said that he lost a given match because of it -- nobody would be that stupid -- does not make it ok. It is against the rules. Period.

Do I think it is a huge deal? No. But it is something. And you know sometimes details are important in tennis. Hell, the guys would stop play if someone is up in stands...

Please stay on subject
Does it cause a player to loose a match because he is waiting to return of serve

Where's I an defending Rafa taking too long. I have named some of the top players who get penalized, however it hasn't won them a match but has caused them to loose,a match when they have points taken away from them at crucial periods in a match. U are barking about this because its Nadal..move on pal

Nishikori beat Chung, but it was 6-4 in the 5th, so good job by the young Korean. And Khachanov beat Isner.

nishokori vs Chung are one game away from 5 set..
Apparently Kei tanked the entire 4 set..Good for him to conserve his energy

If Nadal had done this vs Roger ..this is what the "Front" police would say

Rafa should be penalized an additional set for not competing because his lack of effort distracts others especially Roger
