Kei has his best season this year of his entire career, a clear top 4 in the 2016 race.
I am expecting him to make the QF and give a run for his money to Andy.

That's the thing. Past matches and performances mean very little compared to current form and bear in mind Tsonga pulled out of Rome with a muscle strain and was replaced by Pouille so Tsonga is possibly still not 100% fit.

But, Tsonga reached SF at this year's MC. He might have withdrawn from Rome just to make sure he is 100% fit for RG. When he is on, he is tough. Whether he will be on is a different question. Also, more important question is whether he will even go that far to meet Rafa.

Hey, how about a new winner at RG in the form of Kei? I will take that.

He's got a better chance against Novak than Andy or Rafa as he matches up quite well against Novak but I very much doubt he could beat any of them right now, especially in best of 5. I think the Tsonga ship has sailed sadly. With his serve I expected more from him on grass but he's disappointed on every surface as far as I'm concerned. Never been the same player since AO 2008 and that was a long time ago. He's had a lot of injury setbacks. Losing matches like Queens whatever year it was against Murray when well in control only to lose dismally. Weak.

Remember when he took out Fed at Wimbledon coming back up from down 2 sets. Sadly even berdych has gone farther at Wimbledon than Tsonga.

As well as Tsonga served though in the last 3 sets of that match, Federer was to blame for losing serve at the start of EVERY set after set 2 and he never made any inroads on Tsonga's serve. Going down a break on grass is often suicide and at the start of each set too :nono

Stupid NBC, Can you explain why do you want to buy the broadcasting rights if you don't intend to broadcast it? First four hours of semifinals will not be shown live by NBC :cover (and on top of that they are likely to block other channels from showing it as well since they have rights :nono). Hope Rafa vs. Novak is the second semifinal.

His QF could be either against Kei or Kyrgios.

I am looking forward to watching Kyrgios, Thiem and Zverev playing best of five on the red stuff. I'm thinking Nick might do an early exit. And Thiem will probably win over Zverev in their match.

There will be a nice preview in the Nice final as it's thiem vs. zverev. I would give Zverev more of a chance on a fast surface, but it seems unlikely on the clay.

3 Lucky losers have been added to the main draw, replacing Federer, Monfils and a French WC, who has been withdrawn his entry due to an investigation for ethical misconduct.
The lucky losers are: Fabbiano, Martin and Pavlasek.

Who are you all's candidates to potentially upset a top 4 seed?

I could see Kei, Richard or Nick taking out seeds 2-4.

Dimitrov as the darkhorse? I'd say Grigor as the dead horse.

Anyhow, I think Novak goes in as the favorite, but not as much so as a couple months ago. He seems off his game slightly. But it is a blessing to meet Rafa in the SF rather than F.

Fritz v Coric in the 1R could be interesting. Fritz has more upside but I think Coric's game is better suited to clay and he's probably the favorite.

There are only 4 teenagers in the main draw and what were the odds to see 2 stack against each other
Yes, Coric should be the favorite, mainly because Fritz has a lot less experience on clay, not because he is less suited. I am convinced he can learn how to play well on it, but it will take some time.

The draw has made this the most boring slam in recent memory. Djoke must be laughing it up right about now, and popping champagne. Everyone who is capable of upsetting a top player is far away from him. He will watch the contenders knock each other out and arrive at the semi refreshed. Can we do the draw again?

Rafa hasn't been to a slam final since FO 2014 it could easily be a factor the closer he gets to the later stages of the FO. For Djokovic, I see nerves hitting in the final should he make it. Getting past hurdles isn't easy sometimes. It has been a bit for Nadal, so with that on the line he could feel it too.

Tignor picks Rafa to win RG in a final over Murray.

He is a total homer, I know everyone tends to like that guy but not me. It's a bizarre prediction based on hope. I think if the match was the final it'd give Rafa a better chance in that Djokovic could feel the pressure more then he will in a semifinal. If they meet in the semifinal it's probably Novak in 3 or 4.
