Interesting to see if Caroline finally record a win in Toronto. She has won the tournament in 2010 - yes but that was in Montreal where the tournament is played every second year - she's never won in Toronto - a little curiosity -eh?
Nice win to Woz....

Great win,Pliskova was leading 4-2 in the 3rd set, great comeback and win against the No 1 player.
At least when Caroline, Safina and JJ were number 1 they had won a mandatory premiere event worth 1000 points. Plisko hasn't done any of that. Really making her bid for #1 laughable. This is Woz's first win against a #1 ranked player ever. I guess this only means Pliskobot is not a legitimate #1 (just like Woz was for about an year or so).

In regards to Pliskova being the number one player,it is hardly her fault,it is based on the current points system of the WTA.I also remember the criticism when Safina,JJ and Caroline were also No 1 players, without a GS title, again the WTA award points with the number of tournaments played and results to players which in ways I think is fair.
