That started in my day! You usually served first when S & V was a staple back in the day! You wanted to always be up in the set if serve held! I think traditionally women break more than hold serve so receiving is almost a given with some players! I know I went all out attacking someone's 1st serving game while still cold! If I blew it, we still were on serve!

I'd be very surprised if she comes back as well. If she can't break Halep's weak and predictable serve in this match, there's no hope today. She can go home and watch the tape and see where she fell short.
