Venus does a 3 setter and wins, just like the younger Williams.
Ladies and Gents!
We will have a Williams vs. Williams!
Worth a thread of it's own?

When was the last time it happened? It used to be a standard affair before. But, it has
been a long time since the last one (i don't know when without checking).

I remember the last one, it was last year in Charleston.
Serena was playing much better then and Venus much worse, at this moment, Venus is better and Serena not as good.
Venus in straights is my hearts desire.

Serena in two tough sets.

If I make comparison over the last two weeks, Serena has faced the tougher competition and won despite sloppy play at times, and they both played the same players twice, and Serena beat both in straights, whereas Venus lost to one and beat the other in 3 tough sets that could have gone either way.

Azarenka can barely move v. Radwanska with a bad knee, but won't quit. This seems foolish, with the USO so close.

Vika is out 2 and 2
Lost in straights to Aggie.
The semis are set but Makarova has to finish her Doubles match. I really admire Ekaterina, she is quietly into her second straight semi.
Here is a picture of her at Citiopen semis:

Aga is ruthless. She had Vika running around like a headless chicken. You never want to play her when injured. She might be the reason Vika misses the USO or exits early.

Serena's serve is on fire. 10 aces already and the first set isn't over. That being said, nobody returns Serena serve better than Venus. 5-4 Serena on serve

Serena still doesn't seem to be striking as well as I've seen. Looks as though there is over thinking going on.

Serena falls off the emotion wagon and Venus takes the middle set 6-2. Heading to a decider

So, but, gotta agree with Pam, Serena mailed in that last service game. Really sad, sister or not, you're suppose to fight.

I'm not disagreeing w/ Pam. Serena was terrible the entire 2nd set. That last game was just pathetic from a #1 seed. It doesn't take away from Venus' play. She was superb on her serve and returned well. This is all emotion-related for Serena. She has to find her happy medium again.

Venus breaks and goes up 4-2 in decider. Let's see if she can hold it
