It is going fast. Now 4-0 for rafa. the only question is whether 10 or 15 minutes left in the match

This is embarrassing. I know it is early morning in Rio. That does not mean Pablo should eat
a Bagel for breakfast. :cover

Mr. Nadal is happy to play you and serve you breakfast, no?
As Michael Jackson liked to say 'I wanna rock with you all night and dance the night away' :woohoos

I am not watching anymore Rio matches.

Good bye folks.

But, Rafa played better today than against Pablo Andujar last year in SF. But, look Pablos should
know better to get it done in 2 sets.

In the second set, there were no break points for either player until the 12th game. Then
Pablo gets in trouble, saves three set points and then caves in. But, It is all too easy to
understand that he basically was going through the motions in the third set. It was obvious,
the way he was holding the racquet and just blocking. But, this is where the tenacity comes
in. He should have really fought and died valiantly in the third set instead of going out meekly.

He knew he didn't have any chance
Good night, stay well :ras:

Pablo is one of the greatest names of all-time.
I hope the Pablo people have long and fruity careers to keep the name in the spotlight.

I was just looking up that Pablo bloke on Wikipedia..he one of those players I have vaguely heard of but not much else. he's from Uruguay, I hope he keeps his teeth to himself unlike his footballing countryman luis suarez.

looks like he had some big injury around 2012-13 but is now career high rank in 20s, and he was born new years day 1986.

he played well enough first 2sets..even allowing for an out of synch rafa.

This is crazy, all quarter-final matches went to 3 sets. Why don't they start these matches earlier? They should know that clay matches can be lengthy. Starting first quarter-final at 3:00pm is just asking for trouble, imo.:puzzled
