I'm rooting for DelPo. This is a huge deal for him and will give him a confidence boost for the remainder of the year - and will also shake up the men's game again. Clearly some of these other top 10-15 guys are NOT going to be a REAL threat at Slams (waving at Nishikori, Berdych, Monfils, Tsonga, etc) and it would be great to have DelPo back in the mix.

Also, Nadal losing to Nishikori? Can we official stick a fork in him now? ;) Yeah, yeah, he's just coming back from an injury and all that. Such a shame Roger was injured...he probably could have won the Gold Medal since it's been years since Murray was able to break his serve...

Oh boy, After 2 minute service game by Andy, JMDP plays for 15 minutes only to be broken eventually. This may worn out JMDP big time and he will pass out. This will be a nightmare match at this rate.

All things considered I would say this Olympics showed more positives for Nadal than negatives. I wouldn't stick a fork in him quite yet he is potent enough he can still make Murray his ball b!**h against Djokovic probably not. Nadal has to tweak a few things here and there and he can contend. I was impressed with how far Nadal went. I was impressed he got it to a third it looked like he was going to go quietly, but Kei like the usual screw up he is allowed Nadal a sniff and Nadal took it.

I see that Rafa wants to leave Rio as soon as possible, his goal is done already, not necessary to do more effort

If he had listened to AP, he would have left Rio as soon as he finished carrying the flag at the opening ceremony. :laydownlaughing

Me too. I'd prefer he'd have a run at cinci than Rio, but Rio has been a success for him, so can't complain...

Finally, JMDP holds. But, things are visibly not looking good. Andy is running delpo to rags.

This has turned into a messy first set. I always feel with DelPo though it takes him a few games before he finds his range.

In fairness to DeepHeat, Murray has been the form player for a long time. A huge achievement by the big lad to get past Djoker and Rafa, but he also went to three sets elsewhere, and this even can be seen as a return to some sort of top level form, but he isn't there yet...
