I heard many people cheering for Novak. Both had a lot of support
All of them serbs which always make a lot of noise but during the match I think most of the crowd was cheering for Tsitsipas and more during the fifth set

I really dont think we can tell whether all of them are Serbs. I am sure there were many people from different nationalities cheering for them. Both had a lot of support and let us leave it at that

Also to add

This is Djokovic's 52nd title where he beat 2 members of the top 10 (52/84)

Federer has 39 (39/103) and Nadal 35 (35/88)

Also, Novak Djokovic is the first player to have won a Slam title while trailing two sets to love TWICE since 1946 Wimbledon. This is the same guy who won Wimbledon by saving a match point in the final for the first time since 1948.

In my opinion the final was ugly, I can't believe that Tsitpas after to do so well the clay season including RG, 24 years old and lot more tired than his opponent

At least, Novak
Tsitsipas has an interesting game.... he has a somewhat of an all court game, defense, offense, uses slice.... good serve. Yet he seems to be better on clay... I would've thought grass, or fast courts but clay? Maybe he hits with more topspin than it seems... and not a great counterpuncher but more of a player who likes to generate pace. Counterpunchers are good on fast courts, like Hewitt, Medvedev... they use opponents speed... Tsitsi seems to like to generate his speed more that the counterpunchers
It’s interesting because all of his wins against Novak have come on hard courts. Novak has won all of their clay meetings.

One thing should be scary for the rest of the tour now... Novak loosing 1st (and 2nd) set(s) and winning afterwards while he's 34!? Against Rafa on RG!? Against super athletic 12 years younger guy in top form!? He's in "Refuse to loose" mod now with sky-high confidence

Novak is taking the young Greek out to the deep part of the Algerian Sea. Let's see if Stefano's lungs and legs are made of a real swimmer's endurance.
At the very End the young Greek is just another person swimming in a pool..not yet an Olympian who can swim from the deepest part of the Algerian Sea..Too Bad.

Spent about 9 hours on the court in the last two matches. And is paid the same as the Women? What a joke!
But that is 2h less than Ozzy against Murray and Nadal - some 11 hours was timing.

Little will ever surpass 2012 AO Final! Should have been over in 4, but Nole couldn't serve it out! It went 5; going 5:53 so unnecessarily!
Someone posted a funny comment on a stream a few days ago that the 2012 AO final would have been over in 4 hours if it wasn't for Djokovic bouncing the ball so much and Nadal digging his fingers into his arse before every point:lol6:

I was watching the semifinal Thursday and all I could think was, “This match may go a long time, but half of it is spent with the two of them doing their routines between points.” Sometimes with these two, the 20 minute highlight reel is good.

That happened many years ego, by the way that match Nadal vs Verdasco has been one of the best matches of the history, 2009 which means Nadal was 22 or 23 years old. Also people talked about Federer when he came back of his first surgery and almost 7 years out of the court and with 35 years old and he won AO , some MS and WB, his best year since he was 28 years old. So exactly, people likes to talk and more when the players are doing well but in this specific RG people are talking about why Novak went to the bathroom during three matches and carrying his bag . Also Tsitsipas during the press conference said that when Novak when to the locker room he came back as a very different player. By the way Tsitsipas found out that his grandmother passed away a few minutes before the match, very sad.
Carol Hi,I just read that on Twitter about the passing of his grandmother, before the match, sad news indeed.
