Have you ever wanted to see Serena Williams for as little as $55! I know i have. The Sony Miami Open will touch down at the Crandon Park Tennis Center in Key Biscayne, Fla. next month. It is the 32nd annual Miami Open. Tickets are remarkably affordable for weekday sessions. The two-week tournament takes place between March 21 and April 3. Miami Open tickets on TennisTours.com start from just $55 each in the main stadium's 400 level section, while 100-level seating starts from $95 between Sessions 1 and 10. Prices will increase as the competition heats up. Middle-week tickets to the 2016 Miami Open, which honor access to Session 11-14 on March 27 and 28, start from $75 on Championship Tennis Tours. The quarterfinals will take place on March 29 and 30. Tickets start at $85 in the 400-level sections, with 100-level seating listed from $245. The final four days of the tournament will feature the highest ticket prices. Session 21 on April 1 will offer the cheapest ticket at $95 for the men's semifinal and women's doubles semifinal. Expect to pay well into the three-digits for either final, with women's final tickets starting from $125 and men's final tickets on Championship Tennis Tours listed at $185.
Serena will be seeking her eighth Sony Open!

I've been gonna for a minute but I'm back with some info. So since I've been gone Serena has played at BNP Paribas Open. Unfortunately she didn't win, but I'm not here to talk about that, I wanna speak on Raymond Moore. Raymond J. Moore a former professional tennis player definitely not a newbie to the game, had some remarkable words to say following Sundays Finals. As we all know this was Serena's second Indian Wells tournament since her boycott 14 years ago.
What happpen in 2001 is happening again in 2016, but this time not just the attack on Serena herself but the WHOLE FEMALE RACE.

Raymond took it upon himself to make alarming comments. "In my next life when I come back I want to be someone in the WTA, because they ride on the coattails of the men," he told reporters, referring to the organization that runs the women's game. "They don't make any decisions and they are lucky. "They are very, very lucky. If I was a lady player, I'd go down every night on my knees and thank God that Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal were born, because they have carried this sport. They really have."

Of course not even 24hours later he issued an apology. I guess he didn't realize that what he said actually offended people. Likely WTA CEO Steve Simon released a statement saying, "The WTA stands on its own and was founded on the principles of equality and empowerment. I am proud of all the strong athletes on the WTA who put in hard work and sacrifice every single day. Tennis as a whole is enriched by the contributions and accomplishments of every player, both female and male."

Serena also had some comments to say to Raymond, "I don't think any woman should be down on their knees thanking anybody like that," Williams told reporters."I think Venus, myself, a number of players -- if I could tell you every day how many people say they don't watch tennis unless they're watching myself or my sister -- I couldn't even bring up that number," added the 21-time grand slam winner, referring to her older sibling, who has claimed seven majors."So I don't think that is a very accurate statement. I think there are a lot of women out there who are very exciting to watch. I think there are a lot of men out there who are exciting to watch. I think it definitely goes both ways."

Also Billy Jean King went to twitter to make a comment saying, "Disappointed in #RaymondMoore comments. He is wrong on so many levels. Every player, especially the top players, contribute to our success."

#RenasArmy how do you feel about what was said about about the WTA players and about women in
general?

So I'm back again to discuss some unfortunate new in the world of tennis. So Novak Djokovic took it upon himself just like Raymond did, to discuss womens acts. Djokovic made comments saying, "I think that our men's tennis world, ATP world, should fight for more because the stats are showing that we have much more spectators on the men's tennis matches. I think that's one of the reasons why maybe we should get awarded more." Just like Raymond, Djokovic took to facebook to post about how his words were taken the wrong way.

Well his comments seem to reach out to two of tennis best players. One being Serena and the other being Andy Murray.

Serena said, "If I have a daughter who plays tennis and also have a son that plays tennis, I wouldn’t say that my son deserves more because he is a man. If they both started at three years old I would say they both deserve the same amount of money.

I have been playing since the age of two and it would be shocking to say my son would deserve more than my daughter. It is irrelevant. [Djokovic] is entitled to his opinion but if he has a daughter—I think he has a son right now—he should talk to her and tell her how his son deserves more money because he is a boy.

It all boils down to that. I would never put a sex against another sex. I think it’s unfair to compare, we have had so many great women champions and players who have brought such great vision to the sport. There have been great men players too, but women’s tennis is the biggest sport for women—period."

Longtime rival Andy Murray also shared his backing for equal pay for male and female players. Murray said,
"One of the things [Djokovic] said was that if women are selling more seats and tickets they should make more but at a tournament like this, for example, if [Williams] is playing on centre court and you have a men’s match with [Sergiy] Stakhovsky playing, people are coming to watch [Williams].

The crowds are coming to watch the women as well. The whole thing just doesn’t stack up—it changes on a day-to‑day basis depending on the matches you get.

Men’s tennis has been lucky over the last nine or 10 years with the players they’ve had, the rivalries which have come out of that. That’s great but the whole of tennis should capitalize on that—not just the men’s game."

I just wanna take the time to thank Andy Murray for being the one with common sense. Men and Women tennis are a tough sport for women and men so yes they should be paid the same. I personally would go see the women play over the men. So #RenasArmy how do you feel about Djokovic statement?

I'm fine with his statement, he's basing his comments on commercial viability... what sells the most... based on the general income of the two tours. He even said if the womens tour is a bigger commercial pull then they should earn more than men.
