Nadal may as well win his 6th masters shield of the year then.

Well, it's the most unpredictable of the MS series, so anything could happen. By the way, if he did, he'd have won all the MS except Shanghai and Miami. He won Madrid when it was played indoors, in Shanghai's slot in the calendar, and he won old Hamburg when it was in Madrid's current slot, so the only "slot" in the MS calendar he'd be missing would be Miami.

But, I think he'd need the drive he had in the summer and to serve and return exceptionally to win Paris...

That's true, tennisville, but in the last ten years Henman, Davydenko, Berdych, Nalbandian, Tsonga, Soderling, Ferrer. It's the MS that anyone outside the Big 4 has a better shot of winning. Anyhow, it's still a huge event and there's a 1000 points at stake, but I think it would benefit from not being so close to the WTF...

From next year onwards there is a 1 week break after Paris :clap:clap That will help the event a lot

As I said its the most open event of the tour which is why its one of my favourates . The last 5 years , the person who won Paris Indoors did not win any other 1000 event for that year :laydownlaughing I think this will continue this year

And was very close to winning Miami in 2011 when he lost a 3rd set tie-breaker to Djokovic. Given Nadal's reputation for reaching everything that is "missing" I like his chances of winning Miami (if he plays it lol).
