Well Done!!!!!!!!!

I think the two Czech players involved in the doubles used to be at the same side of the
net before and have even won grand slams; what happened to them, why did they split?

I think they split because Hradecka I believe wanted to focus on singles and Hlavackova probably isn't going to reteam with someone who ditched her to focus on singles and is now back in the doubles fold again now that Hradecka realized singles is never gonna happen for her.

^ Hradecka/Hlavackova split around October 2013 after partnering for 5 years.
The Czechs won 11 doubles titles together, including the 2011 French Open. They also represented Czech in Fed Cup.From what I read it was Andrea's decision to split.

Agree she wanted to focus on singles, she also wanted to play doubles with Lucie Safarova which didnt eventuate.

Quebec City 2014: Final

Score:

FINAL
Mirjana Lucic-Baroni (CRO) d [1] [WC] Venus Williams (USA) | 6 - 4 | 6 - 3 |

Shocking upset by Lucic-Baroni. She was behind early in the first set.
Who thought she could do it?
Not me!

Congratulations, GREAT JOB!

Both doubles and Singles, it's been a while since that was accomplished.

This is the feel good tennis story of 2014.

I forgive her for beating Halep at USO and Venus in this final. Haha. Hoping she continues playing well.

Lucic-Baroni is now up 24 spots to No 56 in the rankings and within sight of her career-high of No 32,achieved in 1998.Sh returned to the Top 100 in 2010,she had not finished a season in the Top 100 since 1999.
