You know her personal story, it was all over the media during her USO run, she had real problems, I think during those times tennis was the last thing in her mind.

You're not losing it alone. The only person I recognize is Lucie Hradecka in the black Adidas suit.

Well KSK, I might be wrong but I think that's Shelby Rogers, not Hradecka, and the one besides Venus is Ajla Tomljanovic. The rest are a mystery to me too.

PS: Holy Moses, I just googled Hradecka, they're twins... Maybe you're right.

That's not Lucie, that's Shelby.

Too much ATP for you K!

Here is a picture from last night's match between Venus(left) and Lucie(right).

It kind of tells you that past the Top 20, notoriety gets super - low for the WTA

A gutsey effort from Lucic-Baroni who struggled with her serve at times in the match
Well done Lucic-Baroni in making the final.

The US Open win over Halep seems to have rejuvenated her career, into the final she goes.

Venus is next to play, Shelby stands in between Venus and the final.

^ Agree that win over Halep does seem to have rejuvenated Lucic-Baroni...she deserves her place in the final.

Lucic - Baroni had wasn't injured, she had a abusive father, and the entire family fled as a result, and it affected her tennis, and for many years, she could afford to tour.

This will be Lucic-Baroni first WTA final in 16 years, since 1998.The 32 year old won her previous two only WTA titles in 1997 and 1998 at the Croatian Open.

Is this really being played on carpet?

They eliminated all carpet events on the Men's side few years ago.

I think the men should add carpet back in the tour. It adds a different dimension to all the fast stuff played indoors. The game has become too fast, don't you think?

I would think Venus has enjoyed her stay in Quebec City and should win this final tomorrow. Congrates to Mirjana for her play in recent weeks, really good to see.
