I saw an interview where MJ seemed surprised that Sloane

showed up and played Doha after pulling out of Fed Cup injured.

Did Sloane get caught.

She is found out in so many ways, maybe Serena knew something we don't know?..
Anyway, I hate talking bad about other players, not even about sugarova, ;) or am I just an hypocrite?

Anyway no.2, two Romanian girls in action today. I hope to see them in shape and fighting after a great week in Budapest. If Sorana is in good mental health (only god knows that :D) then she can cause problems to Aga in r2!
And I also want to see how Genie copes with the Niculesku slices in r2. That will be fun to watch.
Genie may jump from the top of the block after losing her mind :D

Come-on Sorana, get out of this slump!
How could you be 1-3 against Alla? She is ranked 125th and a qualifier! And you are losing...

GET OUT OF THIS SLUMP!!

great fight back from 3-5 into 6-5 and serving for the match now! :) the team spirit and the halep spirit affected her at last!
she cant change her style but she can fight and be tough mentally. that's what she should learn from last week in Budapest. Haide Sori! :)

unbelievable! she just won from 3-5 down to 7-5 in 3rd set. Its the fed cup effect! :emperor:
she would have chocked if she played it 2 weeks ago
meanwhile Monica Nikulescu is practicing her slice before the Genie match :D won 6-1 1st set.
I predicted a positive vibe of the fed cup success on all 3 Romanian girls.
Budapest was a tough boot camp which gave them a good push forward. :)

Sorana plays Aga next round with nothing to lose and the way she won today will push her forward.
If I was Aga I wouldn't have taken this match lightly.

Franny is up to her old tricks, playing a two and half hour match and she still is not done! Maggie is giving her the fits!

I am glad Sorana held up, Pavly had a hard time too, but both got out of the first round jitters.

Before the fed cup in Budapest Sorana regularly lost such matches in R1 to a lower ranked players.
She lost to Fichman, Erakovic, Nara, all in R1 and ranked below 50. I am sure that the fed cup experience won her this match.

Who is that little girl standing second from the right? Big Smile

That's your fav Si Si. Angie looks good too.

Flipper may become the first seed losing today, all others have won, Kirsten lost the second set to Lucie 6-4 after winning the first set 7-5, all that in one and half hour, into the decider we go...

Petko and Yanina are on too.

And while I was writing that, Domi retired? First seed to go down today...
What happened to her?

Ana and Daniela on the court, time to get my tennis fix!

I am waiting for genie v wild thing. I cant believe petka is losing!

Petko losing to Yanina only means one thing, Caro will have it easier, since Caro owns Yanina...

Ana is losing control of the match so she calls her coach early.

Daniela to serve for the first set, lots of mind games being played now by Ana, running into the court early after the brake, trying to put a dent in Daniela's rhythm and confidence...and it works, Ana breaks.
5-5 tied in the first set.

Kiu,
It's not difficult to put a dent in Hantuchoka's confidence.

I know K, I know.
Ana grabs the first set 7-5, she calls her coach again and Dani calls the trainer.
This is like a soap-opera, I am getting MY tennis fix.

Not just that but Caro also plays on center court while other 4 higher seeds play on the second court
Genie wont be on tv at all tomorrow, she is send to exile on the fourth court v Monica. weird stuff by the organizers.
worst of all, both two Romanians Simo and Sori play in the same time! last match of the day. At least they are on tv and we can choose between Aga/Sorana and Simona/Kanepi
