Good win for Dimitrov but I'm hoping the rumours of this being Llodra's final tournament are just that. He'll be very disappointed with this result having reached the semi last year.

I heard 2014 was his last year..maybe I got it wrong.

Ah. Hope so in that case. Nothing mentioned since his loss today at least which is good.

Verdy forces a deciding set by taking the 2nd set breaker over Reeshard.

Figured the Doctor would be tired after Valencia. Is he injured? Hopefully nothing too serious and at least he now has the offseason. Anderson has not been impressive lately but neither has Roger. And with Anderson's big serve it figures to be tight sets.

What an embarrassing way for Tsonga to end the year -- he Verdasco'ed on match point.

Tsonga did not even live another day to face Gasquet. I picked him to
reach finals in Paris.

So he's the alternate? Gasquet, Federer and Wawrinka qualified because of this?

Tsonga double faulting on match point for him...last set TB tied at 6-6. Tsonga looks hurt though. Kori goes for a second serve ace match point down. Huge onions...and Tsonga double faults again and gives it to Nishikori.

One of my favourite books of all time, from Orwell, has the title of "Down And Out In Paris And London" That's Tsonga right there. Kudos to Nishikori. He seems to match-up well with JWT.

Yeah, same here. Nishikori was a tough draw for a first match, but I somehow expected him to do very well here.

Technically, I believe Raonic still has a chance, but he'll need to do very well (reach the SF at least), and Wawrinka and Gasquet will need to go out soon. (I don't know the exact numbers, but that's the essence of it.)

^Looks like Youzhnyy retired? Anderson got the W.

Kevin Anderson has never played a match against Roger.
So, there is a chance that he will bow to the non-existent aura.

Bummer :( Wasn't watching it but that sucks. Tsonga has proven to be quite a force at the WTF in the past and was hoping he'd make it there.

I figured Tsonga would at least make it to Gasquet, but I picked Richard to beat him in the draw challenge.

Herbert's service motion somewhat resembles Fed's. Somewhat.

Yeah thought he'd at least make it to play Gasquet too. Can't say I'm more excited to see Gasquet at the WTF than Tsonga but kudos to Gasquet all the same. Played a solid last few months and it's good to see him back playing well. Chronic underachiever in the past.

It is late -- according to the schedule, this match was supposed to begin two hours ago.
