Next up for Fed is Kohlschrbrier who has won one set out of 7 matches against
Fed. That is amazing considering Kohly is a very good player and often creates
trouble for big names.

Pretty much every match tomorrow can potentially go either way, no? I mean JJ can trouble Rafa, Kohly can trouble Roger, Isner can trouble anyone when he is on, Dimitrov is playing decent, can trouble Delpo...on and on...
It is a good day of matches tomorrow...and this is why Masters 1000 events are so tough.

Only caught the highlights of Fed's match but from what I saw he looked very much improved and definitely pretty sharp. Reading comments he gave away a break and he'll always have lulls these days but the forehand looked very good and I liked (from the clips I saw) that he was patient and not pulling the trigger way too early going for winners every shot.

Milos started his match past 11PM Paris time. If it goes 3 sets, they ws/won't get much sleep...

It would have been shortly after 10 P.M. in Paris -- they're not in daylight savings time.

Solid return game gets Milos a break. Usually it is enough for him but we shall see.

And here is an example of bad parenting and shortsightedness:nono : Haase is a natural lefty but is playing tennis with his right hand.:cry...What kind of parent/coach lets that happen???:nono It is criminal...

I know one fairly famous fella who is right handed and plays with his left :p

Both poor parent/coach decisions, but considering the slight advantage lefthanders have over righthanders, the Haase case is especially bad.

Great shot there by Haase. His name always reminds me of that scene from Scarface. "you know what a Hossa is, Frank? It's a pig that don't fly straight and neither do you!

Everytime I see Raonic I am thinking of those Canada fans during Davis Cup that were holding up gigantic banners of Milos' face when he made a point. It was funny and great to see.

cheeky underarm serve at the end lol. That was a mighty performance and I'm no Raonic fan normally. But he looked razor sharp most of that match.

This seems an especially dramatic Paris compared to a few of the past years. There is the rumble for the last few places at the YEC. I'm sure Federer being involved added to the level of anxiety over it. And Rafa and Nole are here, and still arm-wrestling over the year-end #1. There's a lot going on! :wow:

One thing is for sure, Raonic isn't skilled enough to break Nadal's serve (probably can't break Djokovic's serve either). Whereas Wawrinka is skilled enough to break everyone's serve (and Wawrinka can probably beat Djokovic).

Trust me , he has skills. His return game has improved and is still improving. People develop different part of their games on different time frames. For Milos, returning has not been easy but he is working hard on it.

Well Nadal beat him 6-2 6-2 this year, on hardcourt. Even his serve is useless vs elite.

JJ was the finalist here last year, and Nadal's worst is on indoor HC. I, personally, am not calling tomorrow a given. And if Rafa wants to keep the YE #1, he really needs to get beyond Janowicz.
