Halep bombs out early... wasted "puppies" smh

Flat Masha could really use those "wasted puppies" to get better men than Serena's rejects ;)

And Simona Halep is ranked 10 in the world and doing great, unlike your "sugarpova 20% wins in 2013" :D
(flat Masha won 2 out of 10 events she played in)

Thanks for your interest anyway ;)

Well, I'm not Masha fan, but stilll I think she had much better season in 2013 than Simona. Simona hasn't proved much yet. OK she is no 10, but only won 6 smaller tourneys. When she wins a Grandslam , Championship or at least Master, then I'm going to change my mind. For now even Eugenie is more promising to me.

The missing word here is "relative". Masha is a big name who failed for the last 2 years or more to get big results that suit a top 3 player. Simo just started her climb and she may never reach the heights of Masha, maybe because she is only 168 CM or just not good enough...
But she will never be as cocky and arrogant as Masha and her camp :) Thank god we have Serena, Vika, and others to put Masha in her place now and then.
As for thinking and game variation, Simo is 2 levels above flat Masha! I mean it and I don't care if I sound stupid.
The only thing Masha is better at, is the harder hitting of the ball from her big height which covers the court. Simo is better in all other departments.

Pavly was about to hand Kerbie a loss, that's if she would serve for the match!
3rd set was being played, Nastia ahead 6-5
But it was not to be, Angie put her hammer down, she got 3 breaks points at love and broke at the first opportunity. Tie-Breaker was in order.
Another turn-around in the TB, Pavly wins the first 3 points only to lose the next 3 but at the end she wins the tie breaker 7-3
Nastia advances to the Semis.

VIVA Maria !! 6-2 6-2 Domination at its finest !

:nono Pavlyuchenkova def. Sharapova 4-6 6-3 6-4! Total domination indeed... I enjoy your delusions :D

Flat Masha should have asked Simona Halep for tips before losing to Pavlyuchenkova today ;)
Simo beat Pavlyuchenkova twice in their last 2 matches.

Congrats Pavlyuchenkova! I called this one. I knew that if she played her game the match was hers. Now go win the final.

Looks to me like Pavly will win the title here. She needs to improve her serve, but can hang with the top ten. I like that she throws in some variety.

Pova must be disappointed. She was looking for a win before flying to Russia. When does she return to tour?

I have no respect for her as a businesswoman. Any athlete who starts a candy company deserves to go bankrupt. Is she even aware of the rampant obesity problem? As for being a commentator, I think she is not smart enough to be any good. A decade from now when her looks have faded, she will not be asked to commentate. Pova should enjoy this while it lasts. It seems the WTA is grooming Bouchard to replace her when she retires.

Have they started blaming the shoulder yet for the loss? Serena beat that girl down and killed all her confidence. If she wants to do anything with her tennis career she needs to cut back on all those endorsements and focus on her tennis. She needs to stop being greedy.

Perhaps Pova should return to her candy store and be a good will ambassador for dentists. She certainly does take an abundance of abuse on this site. Some of it well deserved. It really boils down to her arrogant attitude( not always) that makes her the bane of most tennis followers. Cannot deny she has had a rather splendid career, but it has been tainted by her holier than now demeanor. Like the thought, that the WTA is grooming Eugenie to replace her, I will have to wait and see, if it does happen.:)

Maria's loss is surprising. She's normally so good at defeating lower ranked players and Russian players in general. Maybe she needs to get back to tennis. It looks like she has alot going on right now w/ her endorsements, Sugapova, TC Social hour, commentating in Russia, a new coach and a boyfriend. That's alot to deal with and most of it is not tennis related.
