Osaka 2013: Semis order of play.

The order of play suggests Genie has the easier draw, facing an unseeded player...but Nara is Japanese and she is going to have home court advantage.

Order of play:
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2013

CENTRE COURT

12:00 - [6] MADISON KEYS (USA) V [3] SAMANTHA STOSUR (AUS)
14:00 - [5] EUGENIE BOUCHARD (CAN) V KURUMI NARA (JPN)
16:00 - [1] RAQUEL KOPS-JONES / ABIGAIL SPEARS (USA / USA) V SAMANTHA STOSUR / SHUAI ZHANG (AUS / CHN)

Furthermore, Samantha has to do double duty and play twice.

Interesting matchup for Eugenie. I saw Nara play in Vancouver and this little wizard impressed me so much! She beat Stephanie Dubois( which may not be such an unusual circumstance), but she was down something like 2-5 in the first set and then it was all Nara. I think Eugenie, by what I saw two nights ago against BZS, showed her ground strokes have become more punishing and she may just have Nara on the run most of the match. I hope so.

Come on Eugenie Sam may just be a little more weary than you, competing in dubs. You can take the slammin' Aussie!! It's a British Commonwealth final!!:clap

Hello Everyone, I am new to this forum, I am hoping that we can exchange ideas for the enhancement of knowledge as time goes on. I am already very impressed with Ozza and the confidence he brings across in his knowledge of questions asked. I really should have a nice time here.

Welcome to the Tennis Frontier, jitemeb! :D

Ozza is, indeed, impressive and well worth reading. And I agree that you will have a nice time here.
