What's the reason for no Miami Master or WTF titles? :cry :puzzled :ras: :wow: :violins: :nono

Not winning them would the reason. And what's the reason for your hysteria over the notion, and over-use of emoticons? Emoticons can soften a point in internet discussion, but the don't substitute for an actual point.

Miami Masters reasons? Don't know.
What The Phuck reasons? Indoor, phast, low bouncing, burned out/tired/phatigued.

Moxie, tented, Broken - I must say that I'm a bit turned off by the public shaming going on. I made a joke, you didn't like it - now give it a rest rather than hammering on me like I crucified a bunny rabbit on Easter. I'm willing to apologize if I feel like I've said or done something inappropriate or hurtful, but this was playful ribbing about sports.

Dude, to quickly summarize:

Broken comments on your post and you respond by saying his post was - "vitriolic rampage" and "a nasty attack". You accused him of taking offense. He clarified that was not the case and then addressed the title of your thread "Rafapologists". Tented commented and you come back with all caps that you were only joking. Moxie acknowledged that, but felt it was "tone-deaf". After that, for the next page and a half the discussion goes on in a different direction that has nothing to do with you.

And then you insert the attached post.

People agree that you are a good poster. Their comments have nothing to do with Rafa losing, but the way you conveyed your "humor". Whether you think you did anything wrong, obviously people whom (I hope) you respect frankly expressed why they found it to be lacking. That's not public shaming.

I found it to be okay, I have to say, especially since we had a huge thread about excuse-making and it was shown through Riotbeard's rigorous research that it's more a perception problem, but that neither Rafa nor his fans make more excuses than Federer or his fans. I wouldn't let it bother me, Dude: I once cracked a joke and nobody liked that either... :)

I think they were on the old forum. I'd need to hire a team of full time researchers to find them... :snigger

Very unfair poll, sir! I shoulda been allowed to tick all options, since all applied today... :p

The last one is for you, my friend.

But no one voted! Too soon for humor? Is the wound too raw?

To be honest, there's no wound at all. After Oz, I was dopey and stunned for a month, couldn't believe he gets Stan in the final and his back goes. :nono That one left me reeling.

But Rafa isn't playing well so this result isn't a shock. However - if he loses in Barcelona, I'm calling a crisis meeting and I want Clay Death and all the experts to be there!

Nadal shouldn't have even been in the Aussie final. Dimitrov outplayed him for the better part of the quarterfinal and he simply missed two wide-open forehands to clinch the third set. If that was Nadal missing a shot like that (a la Melbourne 2012), we would be hearing about it for the next 20 years.

Nadal was lucky to just be in the final. You should be happy that he made it that far.

You could say so many ppl were lucky to get through a certain match over the years. I'd probably have carpal tunnel for the next 25 years from typing examples if I tried. So I won't.

Cali on cue with the fantasy tennis. "What should never have been." And yet it was. Cali, are you formulating your post on Ferrer's "inexcusable" win over Nadal? I'm sure you're busy, but I'm looking forward to it.
