Did not see the match today. For a change, Fed seems to have won in straight sets. Hope he does the same tomorrow. McFly took him out in WTF when it looked like Fed had an easy path to trophy after all seeds fell. So, Fed needs to be careful.

Considering how he has been playing, I won’t be surprised if he loses to Fly McFly.

am gonna catch up on some ewetube (baa, bleat, meh-eh eh eh eh eh) highlights of federer in a bit..

he has 180 grasscourt wins in career..almost near jimmy (185) for most open-era wins..wonder if 200 grass wins is doable ?.

seems like marty mcfly has got some form back after a strange feeble spell. (1st final since 2017 ?).

To me Goffin is on the Nishikori spectrum: if you're an elite player and can muster your B game, you shouldn't have too much of a problem. But if you stumble at all he can come in and sneak the match away.

Not all of it was strange...he did have a run of freak accidents which slowed his progress for rather a long time.

Since I did not watch the match, I checked out the stats. Good to know that Fed did not even face a break point finally (after losing a set in each one of last two matches). Also, Fed won 61 points compared to 41 by Herbert and so looks like a very comfortable win (thought against a doubles player trying to change courses).

Hope, Fed keeps it up tomorrow and bring home trophy #102 and seed #2.

After toiling hard in the dirt and struggling so much here, all efforts will be futile if he does not get the #2 seed.

I thought Roger was flashing some brilliance, esp. later in the match today. Herbert did seem out of his depth, though. Tomorrow could be either interesting, or a blow away by Roger. I concur with El Dude's point above.

Another escape for Frederer. Not looking good for Wimbledon.

Roger is not going to loose to Obi Wan Knobi..it won't be a glorified practice session But Roger number 2 grass seed ranking is etched in stone..Roger and team concerns about tomorrow match is at the same level as an Elephant being worried about a fly on his big ass.zero

Late in the first set basically the same Federer of the whole week, hangs in there playing apparently bad tennis.

... but plays a superb tie-break (to quote the commentators) and takes the first.

The writing was on the wall when McFly didn't break. Rog always raises his level in the TB.

Costly mental slip from Goffin and Federer breaks to start the second Some quality play from the old master though.
