Had to do some work for awhile didn't see it. What happened to Borna?
He complained about a lower back I think. He got a medical timeout at 5:4 or something, but got broken at 6:5 and decided not to compete anymore due to too much pain.

RBA blinks just when he couldn't and Federer wins. He played decent tennis on the third apart from one very odd returning game.
At times I tought he could maybe even win, but as you said he blinked in that game. He tried hard, was 0/8 against Fed coming to this match.

I've already gone on a rant of players who make others' "their b!tch!" Fedalovic has owned this era of tennis like no other "Big 3" and a lot of it has to do with them "owning" the players of the last 2 or 3-Gens! It's more than a little pathetic since the players have the ability, but are coming up short "psychologically!" They can have multiple match points and they just can't close it out for the most part! I can still faintly remember Tsonga going up against Nole in the FO! He must have had 4 match points in the 4th set of the QF match in '12, and he frittered them all away; including chances in the TB! Nole's been the only one that has really cracked against an "also-ran" or 2 who actually had ability and closed the deal; Murray & Wawrinka have taken 6 majors away from Djokovic! Fedal's been a little more consistent and have won most of their finals if going up against someone out of the elites! OTTH, Wawrinka followed up his upset of Djokovic by taking '14 AO Final; though it's believed Rafa was injured! The record books won't give a damn, but his fans have to have "an out!"

I hate that part too, in those cases I mostly root for the underdogs. I remember Cilic having a 0/13 run against Djokovic, then he finally got 2 wins, but they played a 5 set match in QF in WImbledon back in '14 (0/9 at that time) and CIlic was up 2:1 in sets only to lose last two sets 6:2.

Fedalovic are in the heads of many players and mostly when they allow some slip is outside of majors. I can think of Berdych against Fed. He met him so many times on majors and never won a match. Clearly he had the ability to do so, but the mental part was missing.

Not really. I can’t see him beating Federer these days. Berdych isn’t the same player who beat him in 2010 & 2012.
I wasn't even going there, just thinkig out loud of who owns who. I missed that Berdych got some wins against Fed on majors. Berdych will probably not come back to the top anymore which seems to be more and more occupied with the young guys.

Ah, my bad. Now I see he got a win in USO 2012 too. 2 wins on majors, that improves a picture.

Berdych beat Fed in an early Olympics match also. That improves the picture even better. Berdych has beaten Fed on multiple occasions and in important stages.

Berdych falls to Nadal almost always though.

This is exactly what happened to Tsonga also couple of days ago. After breaking Fed twice and winning the second set, Tsonga reached 5-5 in the third and then blinked at the right time and then Fed served out (and in that game when Tsonga had an open court, he smashed right into the hands of Fed).

Tsonga served very well in the match, had 13 aces and 0 DFs.

Hope Fed wins the next two matches at least in straight sets. Can't expect everyone to keep blinking.

At the bare minimum Fed should make sure that he is not broken on grass by idiots.

This is why I think the younger players, especially, can cause trouble. Fedalovic are in the heads of many players over a certain age, and whom they've dominated, but the youngsters have only played on tour when they've been able to see the Big 3 somewhat more vulnerable. I'm sure they admire them, but for the Next Gen, they don't have the same fear factor. They aren't whipped dogs. They have belief.

Matteo in trouble. Finally met his match on grass. McFly returning in rare form today. This is why I wanted Sascha to win yesterday

Terrific match by Goffin. His return of serve and the way he takes the ball early created problems for Matteo.

I like McFly too. He's a small guy w/ a big game. He's lost so many tight matches from winning positions. He was due to turn it around at some point. He will be a challenge for either player tomorrow.
