I honestly don't think it IS good. He's absolving himself, when it very much seems that he was still trying to get into the US and the draw. If he'd known all along that he couldn't get into the US, he should have formally withdrawn. Rather than, as you say "fecking up" the draw. Remember how much flack Murray caught for withdrawing from the USO in 2017, I think it was, after the draw was made? At least he was in NY, and hoping to play, until the doctors pushed him off. Novak is in Serbia(?) presumably, with no hope to get into the US, and he was still playing footsie with the tournament. He could have stopped that before the draw was made, if he'd wanted to.
Frankly, I'd prefer they deal with Zverev, but he's a jerk for playing everyone. Now it really does feel like a pathetic cry for attention.

I know your a 'closet' Murray fan...I will keep this just between you and meIDK why this is so hard to remember! I'm not as much a fan of Djokovic as I love how he's breaking down the MYTH of FEDAL! They needed to be knocked down a few pegs and Nole did it in record time; tying them both last season with 20 Majors when they had a huge lead! He's eviscerated just about all the usual records you'd think they'd have like #1 Ranking (361 weeks), a Double Golden Masters, a Nole-Slam, & a Double CGS! He just needs to bide his time to take the Major's record this year or next! Nadal's the one who has to work it so he won't be a footnote!

Lets wait till he teams up with Lendl.....the 700 ATP match winner is not done yet...lets live in the present.Remember it ain't easy with 2 metal hips.Even with all his competition, Murray isn't even a "Courier" in my book! He had to max out his 2016 to catch and overtake Novak for #1 that year! Then after all that, he broke down and only held the ranking for a minute! He probably should've won that FO, but he allowed double's specialist and "also rans" to take him to 4 and 5 sets early in the tournament! He was gassed in the final, redlining the 1st set, but DONE after that!

Someone in his team checked the box that he hadn’t travelled when he did? Had nadal or roger done this, none of you would be even discussing it.. ‘oh well, big deal’. I’ve seen people do these things where they get a visa to go to spain, travel all over europe and when asked at airpirt say ‘only was in spain’.. many people do this, i’ve seen it. Yet what a horrible person novak is.. you guys are ridiculous…you guys are insanely biased. Djokovic for the most part is gracious in defeat, works incredibly hard, is usually joyful and energetic, has respect for the game and looks like genuinly a nice guy. He wears his emotions on his sleeves and makes mistakes on occasion and you guys lose your sh##t over it and cast him as a villain.
