If the Australian government wants to get particular about the risks he poses if they continue his visa, this question could be important.
for the risk evaluation it’s important to know if he went through the disease and therefor has a natural immunization, not if he broke quarantine rules in Belgrade

"According to Australian journalist Paul Karp, the immigration minister has the right under section 133C(3) of the Migration Act to cancel Djokovic's visa again. If it happens, Djokovic would face deportation again and miss the Australian Open even if he appeals against such cancellation as the tournament organizers had said they would not wait beyond January 11 to confirm the Serb's availability to feature in the Grand Slam tournament.
Djokovic could also be barred from entering Australia for 3 years if his visa is canceled again.
However, confirming that such a step, if taken, would bar Djokovic from the country for three years, judge Kelly warned the government lawyers that "the stakes have now risen, rather than receded."
Under the said section of the immigration act, the minister, Alex Hawke should be satisfied that a ground exists to cancel the visa -- in this case the purported threat to public health because he is unvaccinated and the visa-holder “does not satisfy the minister that the ground does not exist” and that it would be in the public interest to cancel the visa."

The governing body shouldn’t have decided on such a strict policy (vaccination) if it weren’t going to enforce it. Everyone involved in this mess looks like a clown.
The case was won on a 'procedural fairness basis' which happened with Border Officials.

Personally speaking I do not think Alex Hawke would want to 'inflame the situation' I doubt he will re-cancel his visa.Just my thoughts.

Yes, I understand the loophole the judge used to arrive at his ruling. I’m just saying rules should have been decided upon only after accepting that they might need to be enforced

It should have been stated from last November that all players coming to the AO 2022 have to be double vaccinated and no medical exemptions allowed.,from Tennis Australia.Coming into Australia having COVID in the last six months is not a sufficient reason to enter Australia

No1e was unjustly stopped at the airport terminal, his visa was irregularly revoked. They have done a lot to him illegally in these few days, and that still does not satisfy the appetite of the antiNo1e fans.
No1es head on the stump may be the right measure for them?

You have been added to my “ignore” list. Your fandom is blinding you to the facts.

what about the 14d quarantine?
That no problem for the government/border control?

The rule has changed in that regard no 14 day quarantine.....it is 7 days.BTW he is also double vaccinated.Rafa isnt required to quarantine, though he would have to have a test before he boarded the plane and another one after he landed

Well he couldn’t have gotten on the flight to leave for Australia without producing a negative test beforehand. Now if Australia makes you quarantine after your flight, I don’t know.

Insane:

justin quill estimates the court costs at up to $ 500,000 for australia, without Novak suing the government for what was happened to him

it’s already a huge mess for the gov, this fact could protect Novak from visa cancellation numero due
in the event of a lawsuit by novak, the costs could be even higher for the taxpayer, not well before an upcoming election

wow…. after all what happened his chances of staying and being able to play the tournament are greater than the other way around

On what grounds would Novak sue them? I think he’ll be relieved if they don’t probe further..
