You want the winner of that too?

Sf over Seattle is likely. Denver over New England? No way.

Darth..."Fear leads to anger, Anger leads to hate, Hate leads to Suffering."? You must embrace your dark side and the ways of the dark side of the Force :emperor:

Denver is probably a solid favorite over New England while the other one is close. I think New England winning in Denver would be a pretty decent upset all things considered. Similar teams except Denver's offense is obviously much better. The only thing I hesitate on is that I usually trust Brady in these situations more than Manning.

Darth you are letting your "hatred" of the :emperor: and the Evil Empire superceed your better judgement.. If NE offensive line repeats thier brilliant performance over Indy.. You know there is no way in Hell Denver is going to be able to stop the Patriots run game ..If NE and Brady control the ball, they will keep Peyton off the field.. its the formula to defeat Peyton or any good QB

The Colts have a similarly weak defense as Denver but Luck tossed them a few picks and missed tons of opportunities. The formula to beat Peyton is to see if he will implode in the playoffs. If Denver is to lose I bet it will be due to Peyton having a bad game, 2+ picks. New England's offense isn't good enough to put up 30+ on their own.

I have tried KS to reach Darth, but he is very stubborn(really, Darth is one who gambles with the side of the odds makers.)

Doing the spread I'd probably bet San Fran at +3.5 and Denver at -4.5. San Fran and Seattle figures to be a nail biter, whereas I think Denver could win comfortably.

I will tell you all who the winner will be as soon as the semis are done, sorry conference finals!

For now, I am referring to my crystal ball.

I hope AP doesn't come after me this year, fortunately, Baltimore didn't make it...

I have a question, who has the best defense out of the last 4 teams?

Seattle, and San Fran close behind. The AFC defenses aren't in the same realm but both have better offenses.

San Fran's defense is great, Seattle's defense is historically great especially given this era.

I see the game going 1 of 2 ways, Kaep plays fairly clean and it goes down to the wire or they force him into a couple turnovers and run away with it like the last 2 games in Seattle.

Kiu and Darth,

I have been out in the Bay area for the past 3 months, the talk is from the former 49ers greats such as Ronnie Lott, Steve Young and Brent Jones.. This is what the 49ers wanted and needed.. To go up to Seattle and really punch those Seahawks in the mouth. As for M Lynch and the rest of the Seattle rushing attack, Ronnie Lott says that in the past, great SF runners such as Rickey Waters and Roger Craig(that was my dude) teams like Saints knew that these guys were coming(meaning that they were going to be rushing hard to establish the ground game). They would just keep hitting their running backs until their spirit or will appears to be broken. Lott says that they took the same approach to opposing teams runners like Walter Payton and Eric Dickerson. Lott says that their philosophy was to hit these running all game long until they eventually slowed up. He says he likes the Niners defense of (the Smith boys, the terrific trio(brooks, Willis and Bowman) plus Whitner. They hit just as hard as the Seattle defense and it should play out in the 49ers favor. Again, We shall see.

^ At this point, I trust the SF offense more that I trust the Seahawks'. Kaepernick has been gaining confidence over the past few weeks while Wilson seems to be losing some. Harvin out doesn't help matters. If it's close, clock management could be huge. If the 49ers get the ball last only needing a field goal to win or tie, they win.

Cali, I have a feeling that this weekend, the games may be the highest rated Ever...These four teams may have the best winning records of the last four teams (the Final Four)combined ever. The fan base of each of these teams are not just base on geographic locations. Two of the historic best QB ever, Brady and Manning and two legendary defensive built teams SF vs Seattle. I had my popcorn ready a long time and I gave my wife the day off to go shopping because Mr Happy is ok until these games are over. This us my SuperBowl.

This isn't anyone's Super Bowl yet, all 4 of these teams expect nothing but the title. It definitely isn't the best combined W-L record of championship games but that means little.

These are extremely intriguing matchups as one is the best rivalry in football with the red hot 49ers going on the road in the toughest venue to play. The other one is great because its Brady vs. Manning. Aside from that I don't think New England @ Denver would be any more intriguing than other championship games. Denver is a solid favorite in that one and I think New England's only chance is to be +2 or more in turnover differential. There is also more to it as Peyton is kind of the sentimental favorite to win the 2nd ring and possibly retire. I'm rooting for that only because of the alternatives :)

Well I hope you enjoy every second of it, but I'm not all that interested in New England v. Denver. It is kind of a BS match-up frankly. It's the kind of game everyone predicts and wants to happen, but it usually never does, and this one time it is happening.

I really don't like either team or their playing style.

I listen to all that sentimental crap all post season last, year, folks pulling for a guy like Ray Lewis to retire with another ring .Is that what football is about ,all due respect for Peyton, but Hell no , it's about the best team winning the prize

Belichick owns Manning. I wouldn't downplay that factor.

Denver's saving grace may be their defense, which plays with a great deal of attitude and doesn't get enough credit. They will have to stop the Pats running game and they may be up to doing that.
