I got Seahawks and Denver. I don't think Denver wins the Super Bowl regardless of who comes out of the NFC but they will be playing with a little extra this year for Peyton and to make amends for last year's awful loss. The Patriots are overachieving incredibly this year and that's the mark of having hands down the best coach in football. But I don't think they'll keep up next week, I hope not anyways.

As for Seattle - San Fran it'd be about a pick'em on neutral field. It is an easy choice in Seattle, similar teams but Seahawks have great home field advantage.

I think that next Sunday you may be surprised at how the best big game players and defensive scheme rises to the top and homefield doesn't mean crap in the playoffs..

Games aren't won and lost on a keyboard, I know you will always predict victory for your team/player. Fair game. It definitely wouldn't surprise me if SF wins but when two teams are very evenly matched it often comes down to home field and/or turnovers. One is definitely in Seattle's favor and I think SF is more likely to lose the turnover battle than the other way around.

I'm still pissed my team of losers isn't in this game and likely won't be anytime soon. Denver and New England are flawed teams that still got far with their superstar qb's, and GB can't win a playoff game to save their lives despite having a qb with the highest rating in playoffs history. You complained about Harbaugh, I'd give my left nut to have a coach half as good. GB would have had 2-3 rings by now.

Your coach MM has won a SB regardless if his input may have be perceived as miminal.. Jimmy H and the OC Greg Roman lost last year SB for those talent players..it was a Shame. 1st and goal on the 5 yd line.. You have got to score a TD.. The 49ers are absolutely awful in the redzone compared to Peyton Manning and the Broncos.. the Broncos dont "F" around when they get there especially when they are deep into the redzone( 5 yds and closer).. I hope that Greg Roman gets a new gig and hope Jim realizes that this is Do or Die.. Colin Kap needs to be running and throwing deep with those weapons.. if not they will watch another team hoist the SB championship trophy again, IMO/

MM won the Bowl when Rodgers was playing insane even for his standards and with a top 5 defense full of playmakers. They haven't come close to getting it done since and so much of this league comes down to QB's. Wilson and Kaep are good qb's but the main reason they are in the NFC title game is their defenses, and when you look at the AFC it is all about offense and mainly qb. GB has been sitting on the sidelines the past few years now.

It isn't do or die for Jimmy H or the 49ers. Aside from Gore and Boldin that is a young team that will be around for many years to come. I sense they will very often be in the mix even with their far inferior qb. Take Harbaugh bro, there are FAR worse out there.

No Darth, You always have a short window to win a SB.. Look how talented Peyton is and the teams that have been around him.. he has appeared in only 2 SBs and Eli still have more championships than he. I would rather have the other Harbaugh brother.. he knows how to maximized his team's talent.. Darth.. the best teams by far are playing next weekend.. all the rest were just pretenders.. the siants and KC had great starts but we all knew they would falter.. Its either SB championship or bust for the NIners.. there is no next year.. Gore will be older and free agency plus salary cap restrictions make it impossible for team to try to build a dynasty, IMO

Every year is an opportunity and yes, dynasties are tougher to come by. With that said I think the 49ers and Seahawks probably have a lot of opportunities ahead. Denver and New England are teams with short windows remaining. GB has another 6-7 years after making waste of the last 3. With those 3 teams the qb's automatically make them legit contenders. Things change fast in the NFL but the Seahawks and 49ers have a good core and an awesome defense that will keep them in contention.

As for Peyton he is the greatest regular season Qb of all time but a lot of the playoff failures fall on him. He has been downright ordinary in the playoffs for his career. He hasn't always had good defenses/running games to help but he has had a lot of awful games in the playoffs.

49ers are hot. I'm a Seahawks fan, but I wouldn't bet against sf. Seattle looks shaky offensively, while kaepernick, gore, etc. seem to be clutch. They've been making some huge plays in the clutch over the past month or so. I hate sf, but it's hard to pick against them at this point. They're on a roll!

AFC? Patriots

I seriously doubt that Percy Harvin will be ready on Sunday, he really had his head bashed in against the Saints

I think quite a few of us went 4-0 with our picks..

Only 3 of us picked all 4 games, where the few at? :)
doesn't three classify as a Few :)

Yes 3 could classify as a few, but Darth didn't go 4-0 as he picked Indy over the Pats. So that just leaves 2. :)

Not so fast KS..Unlike the regular season, Darth hasnt been fared as well with his picks thus far but he will have his say before all this over.

I don't think so. Besides he doesn't think Denver will win the Bowl. I on the other hand believe they will. Peyton will play the last 2 games of his career, collect his 2nd ring and ride off into retirement.

I HOPE you are right KS but whoever comes out of the AFC is going to have a lot of trouble, as in I don't see them winning at all. That'd be a story book ending for him to win ring #2, and to beat Brady and a tough NFC defense in the process. The problem I see for the AFC is that San Fran and Seattle are built for what figures to be crappy conditions in New York on Super Bowl Sunday. If it is a decent day by chance then I think the game is a bit more even though I'd still favor the NFC winner. Let it be known that I hate every team left except Denver.

If I knew this thread was going on, I would have been on the site through the playoffs.
I'm in the Bay Area so it's blasphemous to pick against SF and so I won't. I'm hoping Boldin, Davis and Kaep remember when they got punched in the face earlier this year in Seattle and want revenge.
AFC...I'm going with Brady so they can prove all those ESPN naysayers (who wrote them off at the beginning of the season) dead wrong. Denver's secondary is suspect as well so I think Brady can capitalize on that

We're here every year GG. We have a regular season pick-em thread and then one for the post-season.
