So far wild card games are going as expected. I thought Seattle and Pittsburgh were sure winners, I gave GB more chances to win and I really wanted Oakland to win for you BB, but it just wasn't there. I am sure they'll do better next year, if Carr is completely healthy, that is a good team.

Now the next weekend all games will be tight, except Patriots will have no problems advancing. But that's what the playoffs are for, battle for the glory.:yahoo:

Green Bay are home and dry against the Giants. Good win against a potentially tricky opponent.

Carr not being healthy has actually shown a lot of cracks in the squad that need to be revisited in the off season. It will be of benefit for next years campaign. I think we'll also get a new defensive co-ordinator.

Playoffs are great and I'm hoping your Chiefs make it to the big dance.

We'll see BB, Steelers are a really good team, but Chiefs are also and can play really well. If they play as well as they can, then home advantage might be a slight advantage. Hopefully the discombobulated team that played in Pittsburgh earlier this season won't appear next Sunday at 1pm. I am also hoping Justin Houston will be good to play because without Johnson already that defence doesn't need any more key players missing a crucial playoff game. Good news is that I can watch all games next weekend so they better be good.:D

Go Chiefs go!!!:pompoms:

They finally take out the Giants in the playoffs and did it in style. It started out looking really bad, Rodgers was awful the first 27 minutes of the game and then he went nuts even with Nelson out. When that guy is dialed in defenses have no chance, not even the Giants.

Dallas is a tough matchup, I think starting big and limiting the running game early is key. If Rodgers starts out slow for almost a whole half they won't get away with it next Sunday. And I will keep my prediction that if GB wins vs Dallas they beat whoever they play in the NFC title game. I still think it will be Atlanta but bring on the seachickens if they win

Ha ha, I was thinking of you, Twisted, in the first half, knowing you were freaking out when it was 6:0.

I was freaking out big time. Rodgers looked like the guy from last year and earlier this year that was missing some wide open receivers and making some mental errors as well. One avoidable sack took GB out of field goal range and then that intentional grounding killed a potential FG as well. The big pass play to Adams which set up the first TD was a turning point for AR and the Hail Mary at the end of the half was obviously huge as well and built some breathing room.

The amount of time Rodgers got from the OLine, Trent Dilfer would have put up big numbers. I only watched the highlights but on some of those plays, Rodgers could have sat down and had coffee.

The O-line for GB is great in pass protection, I just wish they were half as good in blocking on run plays. And it's kind of interesting, on one hand Rodgers makes the offensive line look worse because he takes coverage sacks while trying to keep every play alive. Like today if you look at sacks and hurries, and hits you'd say the GB offensive line struggled but he was holding it a long time on a lot of plays. But on the other hand he makes the line look a lot better on some plays because he is so mobile and avoids rushers better than anyone. The Giants got pressure early on a lot of plays but he kept them alive and made some big plays downfield. Playing him would be maddening as a defensive lineman, you can't always just simply "do your job" and rush at him blindly, it is all about keeping contain and coming at an angle that either keeps him in the pocket or sends him far back as he runs away from the defender. It is absolutely paramount that you keep him in the pocket or he becomes twice as deadly.

I'm not going to blame OBJ but he really sucked. Man has to grow up and stop bringing trouble on his own darn head. Eli didn't play too badly from what I saw, and frankly in order to beat GB we would have had to hold them to less than 25 points. I'm officially supporting the bad man to get his second ring now

Aaron Rodgers is simply the best QB I have ever seen. Not even close in my book. Montana, Brady, Marino, Elway... not in his league in my opinion. If you were making a movie and needed a highlight reel you would be looking at AR

I think he's in the argument... but "not in the same league", "not even close" when considering some of the other names is hyperbolic!

haha! Maybe I'm bigging him up coz he stuffed my G-men.. but seriously some of his movement in the pocket. Name another QB who can hold the throw for as long as he can to give his receivers time to get into space. And also the actual throws he makes. It's amazing mate

Montana, Brady, Marino, Manning, Elway, Rodgers, Unitas, Brees, Young... they'd be my Top 9 in no particular order... all have pros and cons. I was actually looking for a Top 10 but there are a bunch of other QBs who are great but I don't want to class as a Top 10 ever - including the likes of Brett Favre and Terry Bradshaw. Both great but overrated greats IMO. I never saw Bradshaw play (before my time) but watched a lot of footage and a lot of old Raider/Steeler games... and he wasn't a better QB than Stabler IMO... just helped steer a great all round team.

Favre, and Twisted might not like this had one ring, a good gun but suspect decision making in key moments. If I had to pick a general, he wouldn't be it.

Best pure passer I've seen was probably Marino... but he's got no rings, so a big negative. Montana and Brady are similar... rings and great generals.

The only one of the 9 I've never seen was Unitas, who played in a far tougher era as far as the passing game goes... and he stacks up as a genuine contender.

Dan Fouts of the Chargers was another great QB back in the day, no rings though... I'd probably have him in that tier below alongside guys like Favre.

Another all time great but not a Top 10 contender I liked was Jim Kelly of the Bills, probably the last QB to call all his own plays... I know Manning called some and audibled a lot but Kelly called them all.

I like the list. Agree about Favre. I just think that Rodgers does things routinely that the rest either can't do or are only able to do occasionally. You'll laugh, but another QB who I thought was a bit ridiculous (sometimes) is Michael Vick. Don't think I've seen another QB run like he was able to. That's not to say he should be in any list, but I just got thinking about all the QBs I've seen and their capabilities

Anyone not like Brees as a Top 10 guy? I think he's one of the most underrated QBs ever.

He's right up there for sure, not sure about top 10, but if I was putting down a list, I would definitely consider him

Yeah, Vick had insane athletic ability - that's one guy you've got to think could have done so much more in the game. Maybe his love of dogs  got in the way of football.
