Just heard the news that a lot of people got offended by the draw ceremony of the NextGen finals. What a bunch of suckers. Now the fucking ATP and I don't know who else quickly ran and said "sorry"... doesn't anyone has guts in the world anymore, to say "fuck you" in the face of this ridiculous moral police?

Funny is that in two places where I read the news it said that the players felt embarrassed by the ceremony, which is a lie, most of them were laughing and having fun. I guess one or two were serious, but anyway it does not mean embarrassed. As the supreme retard would say, fake news!
Watch the vid I posted, I'm sure it was for the spectators very entertaining but if you look the players faces it was priceless, they look like an octopus inside a garage

Out of curiosity -- every time I find something I am sure will piss me off I end up checking it out -- I watched the whole controversial part. As I said, most guys are laughing. The ones which are not so at ease could be like that for a myriad of reasons, the most obvious one to feel a bit uncomfortable under the spotlight on an environment he is not used to, but obviously the moral police already gave the detailed diagnosis of how they felt --obviously without asking.

By the way I liked the "octopus inside a garage" image, as I liked the "headless chicken" one. Keep them coming.

Aside the Italian, I think this is wide open, I do not see any favorites.
In fact that what will be interesting to see who will be able to seize the opportunity.

Tiafoe should have been there regardless of how the ranking or whatever the qualifications requirements are.. i am not being bias because Tiafoe is American but based it on how his performances on the big stages and brightest lights..E.g. matches vs Federer and I think vs Monfils.. Again..I respectfully differ to heiros previous posts because I haven’t watched enough of his matches in comparison with the other players who qualified..just haven’t been able to watch a lot of tennis..i just have been way too busy at work for the past 18 months

I think the format makes this tourney more unpredictable than it would be otherwise.

It would have been nice! Oh well! :(

What do you mean "it would have been". There is still a chance. This is RR format. Shap lost only one match
so far. He can still reach the finals, I suppose, at least in theory.

Chung is the first one to punch in his ticket to SF. The funny thing is that he is yet to play the Italian wildcard guy who is the weakest link in his group. So, he is almost sure to win his group outright.
It looks like the winner of Shap and Rublev will be the second place finisher in this group.

Borna almost sure to get into SF, but there is still some small chance he will not make it. Borna is also likely to top this group. Most probabaly Medvedev will finish second in this group (considering his next match is against Jared who has lost both his matches so far).

So, at this time the projected SFs are Chung vs. Medvedev and winner of Shap/Rublev vs. Coric.

I think Shap will beat Rublev and thus eliminate Rublev. Rublev is the top seeded player of the pack. But, he may not even make it to SF.

Quinzi finally got the hang of the format and is taking Chung the distance. 5th little short sets TB.

EDIT: Chung got him in the end, anyway. Chung hasn't lost a match yet.

Watching a bit of the Rublev-Shapovalov match right now. Really liking what I'm seeing from both players: some rough edges, but very aggressive, with some nice weapons. Shapo hit some return winners that were just deadly, and Rublev seems quite formidable at times. I see both as future top 10 players.
