Welcome indeed to Lady Divine. Some of her ideas about poetry are similar to mine. I love the elegance of rhyme. I have done for a very long time.

Thanks for the warm welcome, britbox. I've been a tennis fan since the late '70s when I was lucky enough to be able to view Wimbledon coverage on our 12" black and white on one of the 2 channels we could receive on our rabbit ears at the time. It inspired me to play as well.

Borg was my first love of tennis, my first racquet a Borg endorsed Donnay - wood, obviously.

Lots has changed since then, but not my love of this great game.

Thanks @Rides great to see you here... we share a a couple of things in common - Borg was my first favourite player, along with Chris Evert and I used to own a Donnay racquet - at least in the 80s. Welcome aboard! We're a young forum, so no cliques here... at least not yet! so dive in and post away mate.

Hi Guys

I'm Glenys, I'm a tennis nut - the Brits are my specialist subject! - I have a blog, and I am a writer for Britwatch Sports, Vavel, LastWordOnTennis and Tennis Atlantic - I am not a journalist, well not a paid one and my views are my own!

Big Andy Murray fan, Biggest James Ward fan you can meet, and I may just have a few signed items from Andy and James ;) - I may change my avatar but thought i'd use this one for now

I've been a tennis fan for years, Wimbledon was the only tennis on TV - Bjorg, then Jonny Mac, before Tim and Greg came along (and no I've not forgiven Goran ;) )

Thanks Britbox

There are players i'm not keen on (mostly, cos they keep beating Brits lololol) but if they are not playing a Brit I do like Rafa, Delpo, Ferrer, Tsonga to name a few ;)

Well, Delpo might have put a smile on your face this week!

Indeed, great to have him back!
Not sure if your other faves have given you much to smile about though, although Rafa/Thiem is the likely final in Rio and could be huge. Dive straight into the boards Glenys, we cover all the tournaments and it's a friendly forum. We also have blogs you might want to check out.
