Makarova vs. Halep
Caro vs. Sloane
Pavly vs. Petra
Klara vs. Elena

Now back to business at hand!
I am really looking forward to two of these matches and no, it's not Caro vs. Sloane!
That will be a good one but I am looking forward to Pavly vs. Petra, this may be payback time!
I am also looking forward to see if Elena can even her record against Klara.

It's Russia against Czech.
That has to be good!

I am looking forwards to the Caro-Sloane match. I believe that both have something to prove to themselves and tennis fans. While both play "counter-punch" tennis, Caroline is trying to become more aggressive and take charge of matches. Sloane has a very good forehand and can hit with power when she steps into the court. I know that both would like to make it into the semis and possibly win a title just before the USO.

I think the match is Sloane's to win or lose.

you called it very correctly Tossip.. Sloane is either gonna win it or beat herself...

Hey.. Mr heavy vocal pipes Kader Nouni is presiding over this one.. you have to figure that he does voice overs in movies or television

Caro is the queen of defending...all day long she will run down anything.Sloane reminds me of James Blake...the same defeated demeanor.

Sad but mostly true! Caro was just awarded a point on a challenge and Sloane didn't even argue or put up any kind of fight. The result was a break of Sloane's serve.

I got my best birthday present a Caroline win and even better a really well played win. Time for a Carlsberg (even if it's 3 in the morning). Looks promising for the US Open:

Kiu I have seen Klara whooped very badly and it is not a pretty sight. She is such a sweetie, but when she gets up against the big hitters, ala Petra and Angelique, Kerber thrashed her at Eastbourne last year, it was hard to watch. I remember she was in near tears in that match, felt very sorry for her.
