well for that to happen the referees are going to have to be more fair with their whistle. I love the way OKC press, they're handsy and physical. But for some reason try to do the same with SGA and the referees buy the flailing around. It's really pissing me off. As an aside.. Brunson does a lot of the same stuff, so I for one won't mind one bit if the Pacers win that series
Both learned from their grandaddy in the faith: Harden. In his heyday, dude was the king of dramatic flops and lived at the line.

I like Ant, but he needs to zip it. If he's gonna talk all that trash, he can't blow hot & cold every night. His team needs him to produce 33+ nightly, become a more reliable FT shooter and for heaven's sake stop turning the ball over.

The Timberwolves have not played smart basketball. It really annoys me that they get to claim they beat Steph, when they really didn't. I think Golden State would have matched up much better against OKC. As things stand I can live with a Pacers vs OKC final. I think OKC would run the Knicks out of the gym, but I can see that Pacers... pace causing OKC some problems. I totally agree about Ant. I love the guy, but for me, the hype is just slightly ahead of his production at the moment

I think Ant still needs some maturing, on the court and definitely off it. OKC is probably the team most geared to slow him down, and this is the expected result. But still, Ant is just 23 and he does have that dog in him. Two straight conference finals with a good but far from great supporting cast either year.

OKC had their one scare and even that felt self-inflicted as they blew a couple games late against Denver. I’d be surprised if they have another close call given the opponents left. The Pacers will need more than their miracle voodoo crap to make that competitive IMO.

Harden was the absolute worst, that man just lived off the line by throwing his body into the defender all game.

Still feel that way? I think this Pacers team is different to anything OKC has seen so far, they have a more diversified attack than any other team they've faced. And that pace is different. I can imagine the Pacers winning all 4th quarters against OKC, the only issue is will they be close enough for that to matter. I think Rick Carlisle is by far the best coach left

Yes I will stick to it. I think OKC will be able to handle them but confidence is a big thing and Indy would be brimming with it if they make it and I think they still will. I’m interested to see if either of these do go back 2-2. OKC getting absolutely smashed in game 3 was a surprise. Of course it is just 1 game but that probably gives Ant and co a lot more confidence than a narrow win would have after the first two beatdowns.

I do think Indy will drop the hammer in game 4 similar to the Cavs series, and then could finish it in 5 or will take care of business in game 6.

Another game where Ant and Randle were no-shows. The bench actually put up a gazillion points tonight, but had very little help from their superstars. Add to that they gave up about 19 offensive boards and I'm really surprised they only lost by a deuce

this just makes Steph's injury more painful! I love Ant, but he's not ready for this yet. It's great that he's getting to this deep, but I guess a bit like JT and JB with Boston, it takes time

On one hand I think it’s unacceptable for Ant to only have 13 shots, but with that said they gave up 128 in basically a do or die playoff game. Pathetic

hoping the Pacers close it out tonight. The thought of a Brunson vs SGA foul baiting fest is too much for me to bear!

I'm glad Minny was put out of their misery. They were woeful except the one home game they actually showed up.

You get one more TNT game Phil. Knicks stay alive w/ a masterclass and some tentative play from Indy who didn't come to close the series out tonight.

I was too tired to watch. Glad for the result. Couple of things I heard... Thoughts?

  1. People remarked that Halliburton thought he was going to be awarded the MVP, was it the right call to give it to Siakam? I thought Halli led that team well
  2. Already hearing noises that Knicks players blame KAT for missed defensive assignments. Surprised... NOT surprised! Hard to figure who won that trade!

Didn’t watch any of the games but it’s hard to see how it wouldn’t go to Haliburton. He saved game 1 with a miracle and put up a historic performance in the pivotal game 4.

Sometimes they just get the MVP wrong as a big part of the grade should be based on when the players were at their best. Thought the same thing last Olympics too with Curry.

I always liked KAT but he is inconsistent. I don’t see the Knicks being any better with Randle though as KAT is definitely the better player between those two IMO.

I agree re KAT vs Randle. But being the better player doesn't mean that the deal wasn't better for the Timberwolves. Perhaps this is one deal where both sides came out of it even? I actually think both sides ended up slightly worse than last year, but equally so. Wolves offensively worse with no real 2nd option, and the Knicks slightly worse defensively

1. Halli was the better player throughout the series. Siakem showed up like 2 games and made a dent. I know people don't want to think about it, but it's possible the establishment didn't take too kindly to Halli's choking gesture in game 1. I know why he did it, but felt it was completely inappropriate. Man, just ball. That's what you get paid for. He's too good. Doesn't need any extra-curricular histrionics.

2. Yes, KAT missed some defensive assignments, FTs and had a few turnovers. But NY need not point the finger to anyone but the mirror. That was a collective effort of slop. It was always an uphill battle to beat Indy, but after they imploded in game 1, it was extremely difficult seeing them winning the series anyway. Poor Brunson was on fumes. Dude been carrying the whole team on his back all season. Why do you think Thibs gave him those extended rest periods? He was so exhausted I saw him turn the ball over late in games, allow himself to get trapped in a double team and then throw up a prayer that had no chance of going in.
