Exactly. Look at the pathetic replies I'm not gonna bother responding to. Everyone is so pc and downright humorless these days. It was mostly in response to Nadalfan2013's dumb post claiming Roger was more like a queen than a king but as you can see these Nadal fans take everything related to Nadal personally. Sad really - a guy they likely never met and know nothing about other than what they read on websites but defend him like OJ Simpson's lawyer. Amazing stuff.

How do you know I never met him? I don't take everything related to Federer personally at all and most Federer fans are nothing like you Nadal fans who defend absolutely everything stupid he says or does. If Federer says something dumb I'm not gonna defend him.

It's not really a good joke, though, is it? Using homophobic slurs to undermine a rival's masculinity is an all-too-hackneyed and childish trope in sports and sports forums. It's cheap and mean, and I don't mean to Nadal. I don't give a rat's ass if Nadal is gay or not, and I doubt he gives a crap if Front likes to think or imply that he is. What it is is unkind to gay men to use them as the universal symbol for "not masculine." And don't let's pretend that Front was going for anything else. This is lazy thinking, prejudiced and implies a very immature world-view and experience. Front goes around making that implication fairly often, on various threads. So it's not only not funny, it's tired. He deserves to be told off about it. Too PC? Like I care.

No one is being unkind to gay men here and making them out to be not masculine except your post and you do this a lot, you try and tell the whole forum what you think people are trying to say. I know plenty of very masculine gay guys who lift heavy weights and aren't the slightest bit effeminate. It's also not a joke as I and others believe Nadal either is gay or bisexual and there's absolutely no problem with that (actually it's only you again trying to tell the forum that I and others seem to). Actually, not quite classic. When I was younger gay was in the dictionary as meaning happy. All the books I read used gay to mean happy. good grief we need to take a chill pill on this forum. And quite frankly liberals trying to represent themselves as the defenders of identity groups is getting tired. We're in this political mess in part because a large part of the population is just over it. For what it's worth one of the most normalising things that needs to happen for us all to be able to move forward is that identity groups have to become comfortable with being the target of jokes. This is just the way human beings are. One of the first parts of that is trusting that the jokes aren't because of hate or an -ism. It might be in poor taste but it's still just humour. I don't think anyone here really thinks Front is being homophobic. Anti-Rafa yes... but last I heard that's not become another -ism or pc category
