Hair transplants take between 8 months to a year for the results to be pretty evident. This is just Rafa's hair with a shorter hair cut. Because it wasn't like he was bald or anything, he can look pretty good even before the results are showing.

I've read it's going to take 6 months and only a small patch of the top of his head

He did. The court date was set for 2017, I believe. That is a done deal.

Rafa beat Raonic in 3 and so is in the final tomorrow v. Goffin, who beat Murray in straights. Nadal nearly bageled Raonic in the first set, and he did bagel Berdych in the first yesterday. It's just an exho, but promising start, so far.

Was this televised? I didn't find it on TTC. I would've loved to see Rafa play.
