God help us Rafa fans if what we care about is getting crucified on the boards.

Well at least we know Rafa's fallible! I felt the same about Tiger woods being put on a pedestal! When you're elevated that quickly without the job complete, I revolt and get snarky! One of these days I'll grow up!

After I made my logical pick, I went to the crystall ball, I wanted to know if Kei taking a set from the king of clay was sane!
The crystall ball turned cloudy fast, it reminded me of Rafa's broken AO final!
I thought, this is Madrid, Rafa's home soil, the ball came back quickly to remind me who won Barcelona!!

My crystal ball says Rafa's serve has no hhmmpphhh and his retrieving skills will not be enough, Rafa will be lucky if he wins a set!! The crystal ball said, then it turned off!!

^ Probably time to buy a new crystal ball. :snigger

I believe Kskate has the patented one, and she went Nadal in straights.

K doesn't even pick WTA matches anymore, how can one even test a crystal ball without WTA matches?

When K picked a WTA match, she picked Simo against Masha in 3!!

Well, that's a bit scruffy of you, reaching across forums to make a b¡tch-slap. I gave Kskate the ™ on the crystal ball, and I stand by it.

I voted first, Rafa in 3
I do want to see a set taken from the King of Clay.

What's the H2H?

Rafa 6-0....Kei has taken one set off Rafa at Queens in 2008.

There have been two times this year when Rafa lost to a guy to whom he has never
lost before. But, as already several people pointed out, we should be happy if Kei is
able to graciously play the whole match and lose it.

Having said that, I like to emphasize that this is NOT a bad match like that of
Nadal vs. Berdych or several others. In fact, I got really impressed by the way
the Samurai fought against Rafa in AO. If Samurai is in top shape, he could pose
some trouble to Rafa (but not tomorrow).

Can't argue with objects!!

Kskate better speak up!

Just because we brought her into the conversation, doesn't mean she owes us an answer. This is between you and me. I say Rafa wins. You say you've got a creaky and tatty old crystal ball that's call for Nishikori. Well, we shall see, then.

Looking forward to this match! Their encounter at the AO some months ago was some pretty high quality stuff. I expect Nadal to win this one, but I wouldn't be surprised if Super Saiyan Kei snatches a set.

Nadal in shaky straights.

That´s probably what is going to happen. Still had to vote for Kei in two. Too bad he is probably going to be spent after last night (he looked completely gassed). Nishikori could have the type of game to trouble Rafa, its a bit similar to that of Davydenko´s. But this is clay and this is in Spain...

Great that he made it to his first Masters final and entering the top 10 though. I hope he can be a regular QF-SF customer at the Slams, I think he can do it.

I feel ya. It starts at 3:00AM here in Australia. I dunno whether to stay up for it or get up really early...

Hi guys!

Long time lurker, first time poster here! I have been reading these forums the past two years and enjoyed the comments. You are all very respectful and very knowledgeable. Love coming here to read all your posts. Pleasantly fresh atmosphere here.

My favorite player is RAFAEL NADAL. So here's a big VAMOS to all the posters and their favorite players!

A special hi to fashionista from your ardent admirer.

Because is in Spain. They have siesta. They are as traditional as in London. You do not "work" when is hot, and the parties, prime time is late in the night.
