Ah, I see Raonic was hurt. Back, leg, the recurring foot injury?

Nole was returning his serves and making him run, something the big guy cannot do without injuring himself. :cover

Big clunky mongo alright. Bit lousy really for him to always be hurt.

Check the stats I posted on the previous page. Hurt or not, Raonic was not going to win this match.

Congrats to Novak on another Masters 1000 title! :clap

Let's see if he can win IW/Miami back-to-back again.

JLLB, Raonic will always battle injury. He's a big guy being made to move in ways his body wasn't made for. Novak said Milos told him it was the same injury from the Australian Open... re-aggravated it.

Well, Raonic was bellow his own level in more than a sense but Djokovic really nows how and when to step up his level. He showed that he was not going to lose this anyway.

This is the only match that I watched at IW. Novak thoroughly exposed Novak's movement issues.
I don't think the injury played a serious role in determining the outcome or the outcomes in each set.
May be without injury, Raonic could have won couple more games.

But, what is worrying me is that the rest of the folks allowed Raonic to reach the final. That is really alarming to me.

I imagine Larry Ellison wanted to apologize to the crowd for the shellacking that took place out there in the "final". Saturday's semi between Rafa and Novak was a set and a half of suspense for both fan bases and everyone else watching.

All that after it was expressed here and other sites that "Nadal is back!" Nole's toying with him these days; 9 of 10 wins, 30 winners on supposedly a slow HC where Nadal's not even in the picture watching the ball pass him while on the baseline! The sad thing is the delusion persists thinking he's going to build on this so-called confidence in Miami; a tourney he's never won! :nono

Fiero, show the stats from Rafa previous 3 matches ( maybe that's why some feel Rafa is starting to regain his form )

Why would I do that? He barely survived an injured 18 y.o. kid within those 3 matches! :nono :cover :p

C'mon man, there was real quality from Rafa on Saturday. For a set and a half he made the best player in the world work for everything he got. He forced Novak to go for shots he doesn't normally need to. He put the ball where Novak wasn't expecting it to go. I saw the look of incredulity more than a few times.

And there was that moment of "Oh sh*t, this is going to be a tough one." expression on Novak's face. I haven't seen that in a while, even in the matches he lost last summer. It was the first time in some time that someone really pushed him to be a better player. My nerves and my heart may not like it, but it was really nice to see and I hope there's more of that from them in the future.
