Fabio was on fire for a minute there, but his head came off again. That point penalty was right.

Fognini given a point penalty at 0-30 from the ump. Now 0-40 and facing 3 match points. Implosion.com

Game over. Kei takes it. Can only class that as a bottle job from Fog.
Agreed. But he got an obscenity warning at the end of the game just prior, and 2 points later he launched a ball into the crowd. The umpire didn't really have a choice.

No argument from me... Fog should have served it out when he had the chance... although the commentator did say that he might not have heard the first warning. Regardless, he choked when it mattered.

I doubt he didn't hear it. I heard it, and they were cutting to commercial. I knew he was going to lose that point. It's hard not to think if he could have kept himself contained mentally, he'd have won that match.

Finally Cuevas is doing something and collecting wins over good and high ranked players. Unfortunately, he had two straight gruelling three setters, so I hope he's fit for tomorrow's match with Kyrgyos. If he is fit enough he has more than enough game to out maneuver the young Australian.

A couple of surprises in round 2, Wawrinka's loss to Kyrgios and Monfils's loss to Cuevas. Delpo unfortunately lost today vs Sock. I was hoping for a couple of more matches from him here.
