Too bad about Roger pulling out. Says he hurt his back, but not bad, and it's the same old thing, nothing extreme, like when he couldn't play YEC final.

Too bad about Roger pulling out with the back. No matter how you slice it, when you are his age and with as much mileage as he has from winning or going deep for so many years, these types of things are likely precursors of less and less top notch play from him. He hurt the knee and he has had the nagging back thing for a good seven or eight years now--neither is going to get better. I hope I am wrong, but I envision him pulling out of events with more frequency this year and next. Should be a great event nevertheless. Que viva Espana!
