Djoke is completely in the Kang's head. He would rather lose to the Greek hero than face another azz whoopin on his home turf.

This match is over (Nadal just won the 2nd set). When Nadal gets on a roll like this, ther'es no way he'll lose - at least not to a 20-year old pup.

Gotta love Tsitisipas's heart. But these last few games display the difference between the three great ones and everyone else: I just don't see this higher gear in other players.
You spoke to soon.

Not so fast Dude. The kid denies the Kang a chance at another clay masters.

If they need the elite players to do anything to beat them, then they'll never really claim their own place as greats. I mean, aging is inevitable, but I'd like to see some of these young guys come away with big wins on their own terms before the greats are so old that it will be like beating an old man in a wheel chair. What glory in that?

Thiem beat Roger, and now Tsitsipas has beaten Nadal.

It is midnight in Spain. That's a huge advantage for the first SF who is probably asleep already. I don't understand how you can sandwich the women's final in between the 2 SF's. Why not get the 2 SF's out of the way first and then have the women play the final?

I’m assuming they were trying to maximize viewership in Spain and the US.

Yeah, I was utterly wrong. But can you blame me? How many times have we seen Rafa up it to that level and then steam-roll his opponent?

Anyhow, Roland Garros is going to be a very interesting tournament. I still favor Rafa--he's got another whole tournament to find his A game--but the gap has closed quite a bit over this last month.

If he loses in Rome too, thus goes into Paris without a clay title, I don’t see him as the favorite. Novak is the one I would put money on at that point.

It's stupid. This is the only combined event that's also a mandatory premier for the women where they do this dumb scheduling.

Perseus has a very good chance tomorrow against Djoke. He won a title last Sun which has given him a huge boost of confidence.

At some point he will not be able to dominate on this surface as he used to be due to the age factor and that time might be now around the corner.

Plus, he just beat the King of Clay, plus he won his only encounter with Novak. Here’s to hoping it’s decided in a third set tiebreak!
