Thiem fighting with his arms and legs. I have a feeling he is destined for a win here.

This side court coaching is so anoying, I mean Tsitsipas father can't shut his mouth, I hear him more than a commentator, ridiculous.

I hope Thiem wins.

We need some super strength tape for his father, though I think his father could talk 'well under water'

Poor Domi comes short again. It must be hard for him.

And for Tsitsipas father a mandatory kit to include:

I was among the discouraged about Thiem's comeback but it seems like he's on the verge of breaking through .....
He had a tough draw, but he's back on clay and finally looking like he's ready to face real competition again.

Oh, and so much for the "dangerous" Cerundolo. Taken out by his countryman Cachin today. Tiafoe and Fritz holding up the clay flag for the US, I see.

Early days yet with Thiem and his game, in this tournament he just won one match before he faced The Young Greek, his first set against The Young Greek was the best he has produced all year, it took him 7 months this year to win back to back matches at the Estoril tournament.

I think at least part of what has given some guys extra confidence is the fact that the Big Three have become so diminished, compared to their previous level. One’s gone (Roger), one’s on the verge of being gone (Rafa), and Novak is still winning a lot, but not running through fields like he used to. Some guys are no longer feeling as if they’ve already lost the match before stepping on court; they now walk on court knowing they have a real chance at winning. It’s a great thing, really.
Sorry but damning with faint praise, they need the top guys on crutches or aged out at 36/37 to get their mojo going? With that attitude Alcaraz, Rune & Sinner should lap them soon….

Pretty much! I think if Roger showed up, he'd still go thru most of today's players! There's a psychological block that gives "The Big 3" an edge that still exists to some extent! Rafa may have lost quite a bit in the last calendar year, but still got to Qtr. & SF's of most tournaments! Who knew that IW final last season was the beginning of the end for him when he dropped a straight-setter to an injured Fritz? Alcaraz warming up to play Dimitrov! Coric's playing Hurkacz! I still can barely recognize Borna with the long hair; sorta like RBA w/o his cap! :fearful-face: :face-with-hand-over-mouth::astonished-face::face-with-tears-of-joy:
