I think Samurai will outlast Nicky's bombs, just like he did on the HC.

Truly fun match to watch. High level of play from both players. Unfortunately in the tight matches, I'm afraid Kei has that tendency to tighten up. He had the advantage in the first tiebreak and gave it back. Let's see what he can do here.
I know. I cringed when he hit that drop shot at 5-3 in the TB. It's just like you said before. He goes stupid w/ his shot selection or whatever when the match is on the line.

Nishi/Nick to play another TB. Meanwhile Nadal is rolling over Sousa 5-0.

Nadal toying with Sousa. But he isn't playing lights out or anything. Sousa just can't hit through him, and will eventually hit an error. Nadal is just solid.

Excellent point by Sousa to take the second set. Seeing more of the game I know this kid is capable of and has been playing the last few years. Hope he can win the third too. :p

Rafa Indoordal. Loses a set to Sousa on indoor clay... This guy is a joke.

You were saying? :puzzled :nono :p :lolz: :eyepop - I thought it was over until I turned to see Nadal scratchin' to stay ahead in the 3rd! We'll see what happens together!

Update: Well Rafa survived! Seems a bit vulnerable! If Murray doesn't take this semi tomorrow, he'll never be respected as part of the elite! IMO, he's still on the outside looking in after another abysmal AO final vs Nole!

Truly fun match to watch. High level of play from both players. Unfortunately in the closer matches, I'm afraid Kei has that tendency to tighten up. He had the advantage in the first tiebreak and gave it back. Let's see what he can do here.

No way, Kei is clutch player. See my post in random stat thread. He is in the company of big 4 and Pete in being good at clutch play.

From Miami Airport via to NY, I couldn't finish to watch the match, Rafa didn't play so well or Sousa played really well the second and third set? I think that he has some kind of phobia of the roofs

Good for you. Let's just say I disagree.

On the doubles scene - Herbert and Mahut took down the Bryans again.

I only saw the last 2 games but the commentators mentioned that Rafa really played will the first set but Sousa play in the 2nd set and 3rd was outstanding. One concern was Rafa's bp conversion was very poor.. Here is what Brad gilbert tweeted late in the match:

"Rafa has to be kicking himself 3-12 on break points"

That's all I am aware of.

Also, he had a break point at 3-2 in the 2nd set but unfortunately it started raining and they closes the roof so it derailed some of Nadal's momentum.

But credit to Sousa for playing extremely well in the 2nd and 3rd set after getting bageled in the first set.
