Gasquet can be good on clay too and should be favoured to beat Murray.

Is Cilic having cold again? :nono

Don't worry. His mum is good at buying his medication for him

Fed also have good workout early. GGL/Belluci both have clay chops for the first match (in second round) and Jeremy Chardy who has previously taken out Fed on clay masters before for the third round

Djokovic - Ferrer
Federer -Tsonga
Nadal - Wawrinka
Murray - Gasquet

Gasquet is not a top 8 seed. Murray's projected QF opponent is Berdych. Gasquet is in Fed's quarter.

Murray seems to have the easiest quarter.

Berdych played the final here last year, took Novak to 3.

Sorry. My mistake. Murray - Berdych is indeed the last Quarter.

Ya never know; both could be gone early! The young bloods have begun to represent; esp. Thiem! Too bad Kei is out again! That child needs to do something about his body breaking down so often! :cover :eyepop

Every year, in the recent past, there will be speculation that may be Rafa will become the title leader for clay this year. Recall that he almost became the title leader for clay, but got derailed by the sudden discovery of two more clay titles by Guillermo Vilas.

Now, Rafa has 47. Vilas has 49. Rafa needs two clay titles to tie and three to have the record in his sole possession. I wonder why there is no buzz about it this year. :ras:

Because no one cares; just not very important in the grand scheme of things! Borg holds all kinds of records to this day and his name is barely mentioned! Why should Rafa get props; esp. with how precipitously he's fallen? :puzzled :nono

Monte Carlo is not a mandatory event. Kei usually does not play here, he entered the event only once in his career in 2012.
